Thank you everyone for your insight. I appreciate it very much!!
Around 6pm. Right in front of the castle, stay on the blacktop street next to the curb as the people on the brick work have to remain sitting during the fireworks while the blacktop people get to stand. This makes for excellent viewing with no obsacles. Next secure your area with a blanket. Be aware that it will eventually get stepped on but it's still your space as people crowd in. After you lay your blanket, send someone for food. This makes time pass and it's harder to do as the crowd sets in. Lastly, pray that winds don't come in which can cancel the show. Hope this helps. - Quiweez 958.5 #214 7-18-16 1:28PMLike(4)Reply
We've gotten a spot in front of the castle without waiting. We time it so we have dinner at either Plaza Inn or Jolly Holiday, right before Paint the Night. We watch the parade during dinner. Immediately after the parade, hustle onto Main Street and you can get a good spot! - DisneyHeidi09 292.6 #1037 7-18-16 1:39PMLike(1)Reply
Last year they were available for AP holders on July 22😀
I think there's been some posts regarding that lately. Try "search the lounge" with "Halloween". - Ilovegoofy 130.9 #3128 7-11-16 10:32AMLike(1)Reply
I would start keeping my eye out for the end of July if you are a pass holder. Check the Disneyland website under "special events". I love MHP too. - RadiatorSprings4Ever 2481.7 #65 7-11-16 10:48AMLike(1)Reply
Just waiting to board the big, blue Alaskan Disney plane! May or may not be shedding a few happy tears right now - I've always wanted to fly on this plane. See ya real soon everyone!! - ollie 25.0 #6891 9-28-15 9:35AMLike(3)Reply
Thank you everyone!! It was our very first Halloween party and it for sure won't be the last! We had a blast feeling like kids again for an evening! - CourtyAstroBlisters 808.0 #255 9-26-15 12:10AMLikeReply
When my grandson was an infant my daughter and I used to go somewhere quiet until he went to sleep and then we strolled him in Carthay Circle and had ourselves appetizers and cocktails😄
We take our two grand babies almost weekly, the 6 month old struggles a bit with napping in the stroller, the 1 year old hardly naps at the park, he takes it all in and enjoys running around. But if the youngest one really needs some quiet time we head to the baby center off Main Street, which has A/C, a kiddie table and a limited seating (4chairs) to sit indoors, away from the hussle and bussle of the park. It also has a nursing room with chairs to feed babies and could possibly be used to sit in there with baby while he/she naps. However, we're AP's and have only stayed once from opening until evening and the youngest slept through the parade and fireworks, but the 1 yr old did get fussy while waiting for the parade, but we think that was mainly because his mobility was limited once the crowds began to build. - aztkdiva 0.2 #0 8-10-15 10:39AMLike(2)Reply
We've always stayed from opening until fireworks with our littles when they were babies. They took naps in the stroller and I'd sit with them while the others went on a attraction or two or get a parent swap. And they'd always sleep through the fireworks without being phased. I have pretty go with the flow kids though haha. - MellieKay 315.9 #890 8-10-15 10:17AMLikeReply
When my almost 2 year old gets sleepy we take her on the train at DL. Works every time! - RachelMPhoto 11.4 #0 8-10-15 11:22PMLikeReply
I've taken all my kids when they were little and always watched the parades and fireworks. Depending on the hours of the day, if it's a long day (8-12) we tend to go back to the hotel and relax at nap time and have a drink or nap myself. But if hours are short (10-8) then we wing it. The kids would either sleep in the stroller or in the baby carrier. I never had a problem wearing them while they slept. We would take advantage of getting parent passes during that time for rides and then I'd go back later and ride them. And also go on the long, cool rides to relax for a bit (haunted, small world, Pirates). To me they are actually so much easier when they can't walk and talk 😂 oh and the train is a great one too! Hope that helps :) - brodysmommy 467.4 #505 8-10-15 11:35PMLikeReply
Be sure to go to the pool area. There are water slides for just about every age. Very fun. - cinderelli 447.1 #532 8-8-15 4:12PMLikeReply
Thank you. We will defiantly be sure to go to the pool. We are AP holders and we go to Disneyland and DCA all the time but this is our first time at the hotel. - deppfan 38.3 #5576 8-8-15 10:08PMLikeReply
Man! I wish they had these for the remainder of the year. I have one from every visit, and I'm hoping we can maybe go again in September. - FoolishMortal138 566.7 #397 7-18-15 1:13PMLikeReply
I wish there was a way everyone could get a map if they weren't able to make it, without having to go on ebay. I have two friends who will be in the park sunday and asked if they could get the maps so I'm hoping they can find one :) - cooper0925 259.9 #1336 7-18-15 1:35PMLikeReply
As a teacher myself, I can relate to how it feels to close the door for the summer. Of course I am still working on school stuff at home, but on my schedule. Enjoy your well deserved summer. - Dizkid 504.8 #461 6-30-15 6:36PMLike(1)Reply
So glad to hear. We have reservations the end of July😀
Good to hear, plan on doing it in October when my daughter comes home with her family. First visit for her hubby and little ones. I'm so excited. Love the look of little ones when the first walk into the park. - Maggiekat 319.3 #868 6-26-15 10:13PMLikeReply

My grandson loves this print. He was there last week and said he only saw it on adult T-shirts. Does anyone know if it is available in kids sizes? We'll be down in 3 weeks. Thank you in advance😄 - Ilovedvc 64.9 #4473 6-23-15 1:44PMLikeReply
Oh I hope they have it now. We asked when we were there (last May) too and they told that many people have been requesting it so they would probably have it soon.
can I ask you a HUGE favor? Could you see if they have the Disney Music Hawaiian style CD for sale? Its the same music that they play in the Elevators. Its amazing and last time I was there they did not release it but said they might in the near future. - Dave 13832.5 #4 6-22-15 12:02PMLike(1)Reply

Apparently, people get them in the mail. The only thing we've ever received, though, is a renewal notice 😂 figures, haha - Spoonful_O_Sugar 658.8 #335 5-12-15 5:02PMLike(5)Reply

We went to River Belle a couple nights ago for Fantasmic. The viewing area was great but we did have to sit on the ground. - Ilovedvc 64.9 #4473 4-3-15 7:39AMLikeReply
We did this last month and we're told if you're in the inner ring, you have to sit on the ground. My husband cannot sit on the ground for long time, so we opted to take first row against the rail standing. CMs made the entire outer ring stand. So if you're in the outer ring, it definitely sucks if you're not there early. If you can handle sitting on the ground for the lengthy time, I think you can get a good view no matter where. - Luv2FlyAK 13.7 #9585 4-3-15 3:22PMLikeReply
We've been on a couple Disney cruises (Caribbean) and we had a blast. There is so much to do and see on the ship. Disney does it right ! For a first time cruiser...Disney is the best !! Do you have little ones?
Lol had to share - my brother and I, when we were little saw an ad for a Disney Cruise, and we were like "oh my goodness! We have to convince mom and dad to take us on one!!!" And my little sister (bless her heart) was like "yeah but... How do they get all the rides on the boat??" 😂 - ames013 101.9 #3679 3-24-15 1:03PMLike(2)Reply
I have not done the one out of San Diego, but I have done 2 in the Caribbean and highly recommend the ships. A short trip out of San Diego sounds like a great way to see if you like the experience, which I'm guessing you will :-) Disney ships are beautiful and so much fun! - duckymomo 48.8 #5058 3-24-15 11:34AMLikeReply
if you have never done a cruise I say start with a 2-3 night with another cruise line so it's not as costly. If you do well then book a longer cruise with Disney. I did a 3 night to Ensenada in 2005 with Carnival and had a blast. My husband just booked us on a 3 night on the Disney Wonder to Ensenada. We are so excited. He's booked this trip to see if it's worth the money to do the Star Wars themed cruise next year. - CM_tamstirr 560.5 #400 3-25-15 11:20PMLikeReply
I'm glad you posted this because now I know I'm not the only one fearful of going on a cruise. My fear is both the isolation (from land) and seasickness. But reading through the comments has put me more at ease. - MrsFletch 257.2 #1358 3-26-15 8:31AMLikeReply
5 more days. We'll be there for a week with our grandson.

Not long for us now! Started counting at 3 years, now it's only 42 days! I'm retiring the week before our trip (38 years at a Credit Union). Can hardly wait to celebrate being retired! 😊 - ZipadeeMickey 284.1 #1110 3-23-15 1:43PMLike(1)Reply
I recently bought a rose named "Disneyland". I hope it is as pretty as this one
As stated, this is the Disneyland rose and I have the privilege of calling it's designer (Keith Zary) my friend. At the time of its creation, he was the chief hybridizer for Jackson Perkins. Keith won major European awards in England, the Netherlands and Germany, including the President's International Trophy of the Royal National Rose Society. To put that honor in context, it's necessary to understand that Zary has become only the second breeder from the United States to ever win the prestigious English award. - DisneyDavidEMT 2824.6 #53 3-14-15 9:33PMLike(6)Reply
