if you use the serach feature there is a lot of info. Short version, is there was a safety issue with OSHA regarding cms who are doing maint. on the building. The ride will be closed until they can add fall arrest or other safety features More...
Disney got a ticket from OSHA back in Oct because the ghost on Ghost Galaxy suffered a mental breakdown due to the kids screaming and local union group Grim Grinning Ghosts 222 filed a Grievance so now Disney has to have a workshop for ghosts on how to deal with not feeling the love all the time and better coping mechanisms - Dave 8636.0 #2 4-18-13 7:49PMLike(7) Reply

I know plenty of responsible teens, but I support the rule. I think it's a good reminder that responsible or not they are still kids and Disneyland though magical is still the real world and therefore has dangers and not great people in i More...
I think disney's motivation here is merely safety and liability, not the behavior of the kids. If good behavior was a prerequisite for getting in, many adults would get turned away at the gate. - bluefairy627.1 #174 3-24-13 10:28AMLike(9) Reply
As Middle School teacher most teenagers are not bad or awful. Also, I support the 14 year old age cutoff. I have an ocean of 12-13 year olds a day and most just want respect and politeness. - MeridasHair319.7 #521 3-24-13 7:58AMLike(2) Reply
I agree completely. I work at a high school, and I have a teenage son myself. I've actually been shocked by all the negative comments since this rule was announced. Sure, there will always be those that are immature or irresponsible at ANY age, but it's sad to see all teenagers getting such a bad rap. - SneakyStella 292.9 #656 3-24-13 8:12AM
I agree. Some of the nicest, most respectful people I know are my daughter and her 13-15 year old friends. I think this is more from a security standpoint. I can't imagine just having my child wandering the parks alone. But I do send them together to go on certain rides that daddy and I are too chicken, er, too mature to go on! California Screamin', ToT, Splash Mountain, to name a few! 😂 And I think politeness really knows no age! - meridafan 1034.8 #83 3-24-13 9:31AM

Who is sending their 13 or under year old to Disney unsupervised anyway? Both a liability issue and safety for the child, as much as we might not like it there are a lot of creepy people out there and there is no morality or background check to get into the parks - Pixarprincess531.4 #215 3-18-13 10:12PMLike(7) Reply
It has already gone into effect for some CMs. Saw it happen on Goofy's Sky School in DCA last week. - Jacqueline546.7 #205 3-19-13 6:56PMLike Reply
They based their decision, in part, on the Red Cross's recognition of 14years being a solid age to begin babysitting. Makes sense to me. While I wouldn't leave a 14 year old, or anyone under the age of 17 really, alone at the parks, I do see their pov. Source: LA Times article - KylaShea533.2 #214 3-19-13 7:04PMLike Reply

Carnation Cafe is great. Outside of the park but at DLR...any character buffet at the DLR hotels (food is all good) or Steakhouse 55. I can't speak about DTD because I've never had breakfast there. - Linzee515.8 #226 3-1-13 10:12AMLike Reply

Please be careful when using Craigslist. I work as an Investigator and I see a lot of fraud coming from people who post rentals on Craigslist and then after paying them money, the victim discovers that there is no rental. Try established rental agencies bedore Craigslist. - Sharkgrrl19202.9 #1584 2-11-13 4:21PMLike(3) Reply
Yes, you can check the OC Register online for rentals, and look for some of the smaller local papers if there are any around there. I would not recommend Craig's list for rentals either, too much fraud. Is there a residence inn somewhere nearby? Make sure you ask about parking too in case they charge for that!! - secretagentangel 668.5 #154 2-11-13 4:24PM
Great idea about the OC Register! Sharkgrrl, I am concerned about CL, your comments are right on the mark, thanks so much. - MrsMears 212.1 #1451 2-11-13 4:48PM
If you have access to an RV or camper, there is an RV park close and it's about$50 a night. Anaheim rv village. They also give a discount if you have a pass. It's very nice. We stay there a lot. - SueBayou2012.0 #34 2-11-13 4:53PMLike Reply
I want to buy an RV eventually to have a place to take my brother with me to places but still be able to have the comforts of "home". I always wondered how much it was near DL to park, thanks!:) - secretagentangel 668.5 #154 2-11-13 5:05PM
10% off with AP and stay 6 days get the 7th free. They do charge a per person fee for more than 2 people. Also they allow pets and have a dog run. Pool too. Also tent spots. - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 2-11-13 5:10PM

It's very cute, good luck with the business. Just a heads up that this belongs in the hub, not Disneyland talk. It's an easy mistake to make. In the future just make sure you select hub for non live photo posts 😊

Belle0785, I did see the square diaper cakes! I am going to try one of those next, I made a rectangular cake with the base being a basket for my friend's baby shower, but that took a ton of diapers. I can't wait to try a square cake! O: ) - jennyangel25 6.6 #8535 2-11-13 10:47AM
