You are gonna have loads of fun! Are you looking for sit down places? Quick service? Are you willing to go to downtown disney or to one of the disney hotels to eat? I have tons of ideas lol. Plaza inn chicken is a crowd favorite. I love carthay circle anything there is great. Flos is pretty yummy, storytellers is so good, UVA bar, get beignet at jazz kitchen, fried pickles at carnation cafe, al fresco lounge for wine and small plate apps, gumbo at blue bayou and cafe Orleans, fried green tomato sandwich at hungry bear and breadbowls! - missmimi90 1378.0 #91 9-9-14 9:38PMLike(2)Reply
It's pretty much all good, as everyone has said but I do have some favorites. The fried chicken at Plaza Inn is delicious and big enough to split depending on how hungry you are, and it comes with mashed potatoes and green beans that are also delicious. For a smaller meal, I really like getting a corn dog from the corn dog cart on Main Street. In my opinion the best pasta in either park is in DCA at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. If your looking for something nicer, make a reservation at Blue Bayou, it has fantastic atmosphere since it's inside Pirates of the Caribbean and the food is delicious! I haven't been in a year, but I remember them having a delicious sweet potato focaccia bread for the table that was so delicious we got thirds! I usually like to do lunch at Hungry Bear, they have great sandwiches and sweet potato fries and you get to eat overlooking the Rivers of America! As far as dessert goes nothing beats Ghiradelli in DCA, they have massive ice cream sundaes that are big enough to share! Those are just my personal favorites, but pretty much anywhere you eat will be good! - MelodyTime 260.1 #1120 9-10-14 10:50AMLikeReply

I canNOT stop staring at the pic of the chocolate sauce dripping down the vanilla ice cream on what I'm assuming is a hot chocolate chip cookie! It's going to be a fine sticker night!!! - leopardditz2000 352.3 #577 9-8-14 12:19PMLike(3)Reply
I had to work late last night and missed out. A big thank you to @Chumash28, @debbiev, and @EastBaytoLA for helping me out! The generosity of MW never ceases to amaze me. Thank you so much! - Atora 1985.9 #58 9-10-14 5:54AMLike(2)Reply
Awwww, so cute. I'll just miss you guys, I'm getting there on the 29th. I recommend going to Snow White's Wishing Well, just cuz it's a pretty spot, eat at Blue Bayou, and watching Fantasmic!. - KingdomKeeper1210 11.3 #0 9-4-14 8:50AMLikeReply
There are always the romantic attractions too. Peter Pan, sitting backwards in the caboose of Casey Jr at night time, story book canal at night, Snow White's wishing well. - MrsSchnooks 2702.7 #35 9-4-14 9:14AMLikeReply
Great ideas you guys! but I'm going to SUGGEST, Fall/Halloween-inspired ones..HM Gingerbread House, the Mickey Pumpkin (well ok, if not because of the Copyright, then a "bigger MW Pumpkin. Candy Apples!! Dia de Los Muertos Skeleton, Ghost Galaxy/SM. Pretty please?? : ) - FrankenweenieVelinee 1264.8 #99 9-2-14 6:54AMLike(7)Reply
This is sooo much fun. I'm hoping for Main St USA vehicle stickers. Horsies, streetcar, fire truck, double decker bus, and an old fashion car. I think these would be awesome! - DisneyGrandma 681.9 #237 9-1-14 9:37PMLike(3)Reply
I agree, Saturdays are usually less crowded than fri & sun. Jan-feb are the least crowded of the year in my experience
I find Saturdays (when most passes are blocked) to be the least busy. Going early in the day also helps. Early Sundays before noon are typically light as well. Once school starts though...any weekday should be great. - DeadliestPassholder 191.6 #1956 8-25-14 2:42PMLike(1)Reply

There's an awesome pic of Phillip kissing sleeping beauty with a bench under it. It would be a cute shot if you reenacted it on said bench. The shooting range in frontierland makes for some cute shots. Minnie's house has lots of awesome possibilities, (like her mirror) but you need a dslr at least. I'm not sure what kind of camera you have, but I've never gotten a decent shot in there w/ a point n click. I also like the dynamite boxes in toon town. And don't be afraid to ask other guests to take a couple shots for you. Most people are really happy to oblige. - LittleAprilShowers 557.1 #305 8-24-14 2:19PMLike(1)Reply
Sorry for your loss, may you continue to smile every time you think of that special memory
I am sorry for your loss. In times when you are down and having a bad day it is always best to reach out to those who care about you. And remember your friend is still with you. He is in your heart and in your thoughts. He is in IASW every time you hear that song. He will always be there R.I.P. Randy - grumpyinphx 56.6 #4127 8-24-14 8:11AMLike(2)Reply
Sorry for your loss. That song gets stuck in your head even just riding it, I wouldn't want to get stuck on it. - keepmovingforward 91.9 #3472 8-24-14 8:13AMLikeReply
Disney runs are the best! I agree once you get going, seeing all the sights and the wonderful CM's & volunteers cheering you on all the nerves will disappear!
Dont be nervous, I'm sure you will do great! Just make sure your properly hydrated and wear very light clothing as its going to be hot but looks like the humidity will be ok and around 46% which was a lot better than the last two previous years. just make sure you run 3 days before at least 3-4 miles then take it easy until sat - Dave 11243.1 #2 8-20-14 12:02PMLike(1)Reply
Yay! You will do great! My first race was last year's half marathon, and I was really nervous, but I relaxed once I got going. There's so much to look at and everyone is so positive and energetic, I almost forgot we were running! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 525.7 #336 8-19-14 7:28AMLikeReply

My birthday is Sept 4th! I had planned to spend it in the parks, sadly an office move has come between Mickey & I celebrating 😩. First time in 4 years I didn't get to spend my special day in my special place.
Have to say a solo Dland trip is on my bucket list lol!!!!
Going solo is a lot of fun. I do it and love that I can do what I want, when I want and how I want. Just relax, take in all the sights, sounds and smell. You will be surprised what a great day it will turn out to be!! - WhatTiggersDoBest 274.1 #983 8-18-14 3:27PMLike(5)Reply
Honestly, I think those looks are all in your mind! Go, have fun, and don't worry about any looks. - MeridaFan 3253.2 #27 8-18-14 8:05PMLike(3)Reply
Hi and welcome! I always have the same advice: get there early, skip breakfast until later. You can ride major attractions and get fast passes while everybody else is eating and window shopping. Then you can eat and use your fast passes and enjoy your day without standing in line the entire time. Have fun! - ShariRenee 4069.6 #22 8-18-14 2:43PMLike(2)Reply
Welcome! And my first advice would actually be to soak the magic in. Let it consume you and just have fun. Sometimes we plan the trip so much that we forget to just enjoy the magic - EnchantedTiki 7.3 #11244 8-18-14 8:56PMLike(2)Reply

Get to the gate an hour before stated opening time! This is good advise no matter where you stay. But if you stay at a Disney hotel you will get early admission to one or the other park daily anyway. Use those early hours! - DeneciePie 314.8 #720 8-18-14 9:05PMLikeReply
Lol I know everyone brags about it, BUT does it live up to the hype? YES YES a million times yes!!!!! I have to admit the $16 price detoured me a few times cause that's like 4.5 churros lol, but SO yummy! Next fried pickles & More...

What a neat necklace! Thanks for sharing! Please add me 😍
Thank you for doing this. I have a port a cath in my neck for infusion and had a near choking with a lanyard and a patient years ago. I just do not wear necklaces anymore. It is very cute. - Plumiegirl 7817.3 #3 8-10-14 9:49AMLike(7)Reply
I just want to say what awesome work you do! The quality of your jewelry really is unparalleled. Your love of Disney and your artistic talent is so obvious in every piece you design. Thank you for being you and for being a part of MW! 😘 - MeridaFan 3253.2 #27 8-10-14 10:13AMLike(5)Reply
I have experienced some of that as well, however, there are quite a few friendly MW'ers that are always helpfu
If your post gets pushed down by other posts, just bump it yourself by adding a short comment. 'Can anyone answer this, please ' would work. Sometimes posts don't get seen. Sometimes people don't have the answer. Sometimes an answer might be found by reading other posts in the lounge. You're right that people have becomes friends and friendly on here. It would be a pretty boring place otherwise. I do understand how it might feel cliquey to a newcomer. But for those who want to feel a part of things, the answer is to jump in and become a part of the community. There are folks on MW from all over the world. I can think of at least two MWers from Australia who have managed to make themselves part of the fun here. They certainly aren't in the parks all the time. Far from it. If you enjoy a picture that someone has posted, please tell them so. You can also show appreciation my 'thanking' quality posts. By not thanking or commenting on other posts, they will get pushed down. How this helps! - MeridaFan 3253.2 #27 8-9-14 6:43PMLike(11)Reply
I don't think people are intentionally ignoring questions, but I do understand what you mean. I don't post much anymore because I noticed that even when I was in the parks, by the time my pics would load, it would be waaay down the page, due to flooding of pics in the lounge. I definitely don't think people were ignoring my pics/posts. It's just impossible to keep them bumped with the high volume of pics posted daily by people there every day. - RCmom 5081.1 #15 8-9-14 7:14PMLike(7)Reply
I always try to answer questions if I know the answer. I'm in the Phoenix area and am not in the park that often. I would say that posts do get pushed down often and if nobody comments on it, they will never see it. If you post late at night and then 100 people post after it, the question might get pushed down. Same thing could happen if it's in the morning. I don't think anybody purposely would not answer. They also might have been afraid if they said nope crowds have been light that the next day they would be overflowing. Crowds can vary and they might have been afraid to give the wrong answer. Or they were in the park and never saw the question. Don't give up on asking questions. - warchanted 125.3 #2919 8-13-14 7:03PMLikeReply
The Halloween Season at the parks has really gotten better with every passing year...a suggestion...if you would like to attend one of the Private Halloween Parties, buy your tix as soon as possible...this event has become very popular and dates sell out way in advance...they are really fun to attend :-) - uscdisneyteacher 7119.1 #5 8-1-14 8:31PMLike(1)Reply
As a RunDisney participant, we really appreciate all the volunteers! Most may not know how much that smile and "good job" and "keep going, you got this" means!!! You all rock!!!!!!
