This, and Country Bear Jamboree, were 2 of our favorites: fun, inventive and great places to experience the magic while getting a place to sit down and cool off (my mom's perspective!).

I love this area...when I'm the only one there! It can be so quiet and personal. Our tradition is to throw a penny in the well and make a wish every visit. But...it has to done a certain way! The penny has to be your birth year (or a year More...

My husband proposed to me here in 2006. We always throw coins in the well, & on that night, instead of taking a coin out if his pocket, he took out the ring! It will ALWAYS be a special spot for us. πππ - Tigerlilly829.2 #7045 4-9-13 10:46PMLike Reply

I saw this on another site earlier and was hoping you'd cover it! Julie Andrews has been one of my favorites since I first saw "Mary Poppins" and "Sound of Music" way back in 1964! My aunt took me to see SOM and that's when I decided I wanted to do musical theatre. I had both the SOM and MP albums and with my friends would recreate the shows in my backyard...I was whatever role Julie played, of course! I also had every Broadway show album she ever did. She's led an amazing life...fans should check out her autobiography. And of course, I've seen Jingles...and managed to ride her several times. - Gia785.7 #121 4-8-13 6:15PMLike(4) Reply
We have that in common! Julie Andrews is amazing! I can so picture you playing her in your backyard! What a fun memory! Thank YOU for sharing with all of us! πππ - Duchess_SMK 3296.7 #11 4-8-13 7:56PM
Thank you for sharing. I was about 10' away from her in this picture. I just happened to be at the park that morning and inquired about all of the video cameras. They told us about the dedication so we grabbed a great spot and watched the event from a few feet away from her and legendary Imagineer Marty Sklar. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of it that are worth a dang. - MightyWhitey648.3 #166 4-8-13 10:39AMLike(1) Reply

Very nice! I like that thing. It's usually overlooked. Walt Disney bought it in 1953 I believe and has been there since opening. Am I right? - Philliprocks277.4 #756 4-7-13 2:36PMLike Reply
I'm not sure, I tried finding more info on it and having a hard time finding anything beyond the fact that it went through a recent restoration. I'm making it my mission of the day now π - ribidib 404.6 #323 4-7-13 2:50PM

I almost just posted this right now! I'd never seen it until today! AND the Goofy's sour balls are three bags for $12, normally $4.95 for one. Price before tax and AP discount and may apply to other candy's. - MrsSchnooks609.4 #179 4-7-13 8:58PMLike Reply

I got the pair for $20. They are 20" tall, and come with certificate of authenticity. This picture doesn't do them justice, though. - LittleAprilShowers 471.8 #257 4-6-13 10:58AM

Where is this store?!?! - Gia785.7 #121 4-5-13 4:17PMLike Reply
The Antique store in San Juan Capistrano, i dont exactly remeber the name but thats the only one in the little town. They had so much more vintage Disney items, I was impressed. - NeverlandChild 13.2 #5992 4-5-13 4:23PM
Most likely the Antique Barn just down from the Mission next to The Swallows, I have seen Disney items there quite a bit. - ShariRenee 1562.5 #50 4-5-13 5:12PM
This reminds me of a few months ago I was at an antique store and they had a ton of Disney stuff, and one of the items for sale was a "one more Disney day" button from leap day. At the time that wasn't even a year old yet. I was surprised to see that at an antique store. - NotNKansasAnymor177.3 #1902 4-5-13 5:10PMLike Reply
They had some really cool old and rare buttons. I did buy one that was dedicated to Mickey Mouse's 60th year it had written on it 1928-1988 and Mickey was wearing a black suit and bow tie with white converse π - NeverlandChild 13.2 #5992 4-5-13 5:57PM
I got some of those somewhere, I think! They had a promotion where everyone got something when they scanned your ticket. Most people got a button, but my cousin got a little plush Mickey in that tuxedo. - bluefairy 627.4 #174 4-5-13 9:20PM
