Was the second parade a lot less busy? Just wondering for my trip next month.
It's possibly because McQueen is a race car and CARS is about race cars in general. That portion of the parade is based only on CARS. That would be my guess, no special meaning that I know of. - Donaldfan_532 237.8 #1421 5-25-15 8:34AMLikeReply

Welcome👋🏼. You know what, that exact YouTube channel belongs to someone who frequently spams posts with links to their YouTube page and links to videos they claim as their own (aka plagerism), they have also broken the rules by having multiple MW accounts. Kinda funny isn't it? lol - Linzee 1048.0 #161 5-23-15 7:02PMLike(4)Reply
Thanks for the info about the tour, will have to plan one for hubby and I. - tinksmom 271.6 #1068 5-20-15 9:44PMLikeReply
I did this tour a couple years ago, we got to go in walts apartment. Have they replaced that part with the dream suite? Or do they rotate back and forth? - BiggieButler 84.5 #3701 5-20-15 9:45PMLikeReply
My wife and I are doing the same this summer and are going to do the walk in walt's footsteps tour. Our kids wouldn't appreciate it and are not old enough to run around the park unsupervised. Have fun.
Brewskis and Screamin, haha. But seriously, enjoy the day and just do what you want, at your own pace. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 586.5 #319 5-14-15 11:26PMLikeReply
Agree with SoS! This trip is about you two! Get up early...sleep in late...have a romantic dinner at Blue Bayou or eat corn dogs and make-out on the dark rides (maybe not right after eating corn dogs). Have a great trip! - msdizmaui 643.1 #284 5-15-15 12:49AMLikeReply
My husband and I go once a year without our two princesses and it is SO much fun! The wine bar in CA Adventure has a great selection as well as a killer cheese plate! Cove Bar for cocktails is a must! Just enjoy being kid-free and take the opportunity to relax (yes, it's possible) and enjoy the parks! 😃 - enchantedtikimom 0.2 #0 5-15-15 12:36PMLikeReply
Thank you. I am excited to go. I have to admit I feel a little guilty going without the kids, but I am so looking forward to being in the parks just on our own. It was a surprise for me, we have been together 3 years on the 18th and it is his birthday on the 26th so he decided we should run off to Disneyland, since I am the one that talks about it all the time I want him to love it as much as I do so he will take me more often.. LOL.. He and my sister paid for my son to go for his Birthday in November, feeling super lucky to go again!! I think the cheese plate sounds wonderful and I have every intention of getting the lobster nachos!! - Itsallabouteeyore 44.8 #4686 5-15-15 11:48PMLikeReply
Plaza Inn. Good food and lots of characters and when you're done you are right in the park.
I've done the breakfast with Mickey, Stitch, Pluto, Minnie & Daisy at the paradise pier hotel. They're really fun, and the Bananas foster French toast is delicious! - ministrychick77 278.1 #996 5-15-15 7:46AMLike(1)Reply
I've heard good things about the Plaza Inn breakfast and Storytellers. - JenGwen323 1602.4 #93 5-14-15 10:59PMLikeReply
Plaza Inn is nice because it's in Disneyland, but Storyteller's Café in the Grand Californian Hotel might interest you more because you don't have to get up and walk through a buffet line. You can order off the menu. Sit in a comfortable booth and enjoy a nice relaxing breakfast and wait for the characters to come to your table. 👍🏻👍🏻 - MeridaFan 3531.1 #36 5-15-15 1:09PMLikeReply
Thank you all so much for your recommendations!! It sounds like Plaza Inn is the winner, although I may have to check out the others at another time! - MarathonMinnie 138.2 #2815 5-15-15 2:28PMLikeReply
I live just a few miles from there. Haven't been by in a while. Thanks for the pics.
WOW so awesome. @@@UTDISNEYFAMILY are truly one the the very best families. I'm so happy you and your family spent time with them recharging. This is all because of MW. 😍😍😍 - DisneyGrandma 855.5 #196 5-11-15 9:42AMLike(4)Reply

they really should have bbq in DCA. Somewhere that's NOT all you can eat, but just good BBQ dishes. This place would be perfect--don't get why they don't change the menu. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 586.5 #319 4-30-15 8:06PMLike(1)Reply
Have you ever been to the Taste Pilots Grill before? I seriously am just curious. This refurb is just a re-theme of Taste Pilots Grill for the Grizzly Peak Airfield land re-theme. It has much of the same menu as before. - Donaldfan_532 237.8 #1421 4-30-15 12:17PMLikeReply
Tip: ask for this (or any potato) with the butter (or the butter substitute that they use) on the side...........they plop a TON of it on the potatoes, enough that they soak through the lining and drip everywhere......... - georgieporgie 183.6 #2120 12-30-14 5:09PMLike(2)Reply
That actually looks really good, now I'm thinking about wrapping some potatoes and putting them in the hot coals from our bonfire last night 👍😃 - eviljules 1194.8 #131 12-30-14 1:25PMLike(1)Reply

WOW, that looks like poop on a plate and JUST like Pizza Port...What a shame they are trying to save a buck by using the same stuff instead of having a different dining experience than that poop in TL - Dave 12733.4 #2 9-4-14 10:00PMLike(5)Reply

When I was very small it terrified me. When I was a little older it was a great napping spot for overnight parties (Hospital Days, Electric Co. Days, we all had a friend who's parents worked for whatever the latest one was. Just a few dollars & very low crowds). Thanks Duchess! - ShariRenee 6202.6 #14 8-6-14 8:40AMLikeReply

So. Much. Awesomeness in this post!!! I LOVE Alice!! My fave scene is the dancing cards. It makes me kinda dizzy (in a good way) The monarail what fun it was to ride in the front on my very first Disneyland trip! The Matterhorn used to scare the bajeZies outta me as a kid. Now it just is painful to ride. 😢 The subs! In all their Mermaid glory (wish they had been around in the 80's) I only remember the sea monster in this ride, and it smelling like urine 😞. What a great day in history for our beloved park!!! - PixiePirateMaid 329.1 #690 6-14-14 6:33AMLike(1)Reply

I like the veggie sandwich at Tomorrowland Terrace. The pasta at Plaza In is good, also the Brocolini at Wine Country Trattoria. Oh and the tofu and veggies at Chinese Cookery, when they cook the rice all the way through. - Lelundrial 561.1 #333 4-7-14 5:47PMLike(1)Reply

Fried green tomato sandwich at hungery bear is to die for!! Very reasonably priced and fills you up. A plus is the quiet area and beautiful view of the rivers of America. - hippoluver 280.2 #976 4-9-14 9:31PMLikeReply
Another vote for the Fried Green Tomato sandwich at Hungry Bear. A close second is the veggie skewer at Bengal BBQ. - msdizmaui 643.1 #284 4-9-14 11:55PMLikeReply

If your pass isn't scanned at the gate, you can't get a fastpass. This actually happened to us one time a cast member only scanned my daughters pass and let us all in. We got to splash mountain and couldn't get our fast passes because he goofed. I have never had a cast member tell us the whole party had to be there to get fast passes. We normally give all our tickets to one person. - disneymama1 144.4 #2710 2-17-14 9:28PMLikeReply
It isn't THAT bad any more. If you get there at park opening you shouldn't have a problem getting a FP. They do NOT distribute FP before park opening, so they can just wait in line for FP. About only thing you could do is have the person with early entry get in line. The APs get in right at opening and run over to the person in line and hand them your APs to get FP. But it really isn't needed any more. If you get it at opening you shouldn't have any issue getting a FP within the first hour or two. - DLKenCA 2177.3 #61 2-17-14 11:15PMLikeReply
Very kind of you. Add me please. Best memory is not having to measure my little guy for every ride.
Please add me for my cousin disneyaddict24 my favorite memory of 2013 was being at the parks this December we stayed 5 days and it was the most magical time of my life !! The lights and ambience was so romantic ! - MermaidLei 315.7 #757 1-11-14 10:45PMLike(1)Reply

Thanks for the input everyone! We will be staying at the DL hotel, and will be spoiling the 💩 out of her! Already booked Bibbity Bobity Boutique! I did the mistake of putting my daughter on space mountain for the 1st time when she was 4 and barely now she's going on big rides it took me almost 3 years for her to try big rides again. Lol. I was just excited to go on space mountain that I forgt she was only 4 lol. Peter Pan would be perfect for the 1st ride. - adrii86 13.5 #8343 12-30-13 10:51PMLikeReply

I'm feeling extra mushy tonight so I'll share a story: I was standing behind my bar 10 minutes before we lock the doors and close for the night. Kitchen was clean, beer was stocked I was ready to go home. All of a sudden no less then 10 cars pull into the parking lot and all these people start piling out. I was like oh heck no, I wanna go home. I was fully prepared to explain and apologize that we were closed when an older gentleman walked in surrounded by close to 40 young men and women. He explained that he just buried his only son who was 19 and was killed in Iraq. The soldiers he was with served with his son and some were high school friends. He wanted to know if they could have a few beers and reminisce. I choked back my tears and started opening beer bottles. I paid the kitchen guys out of my pocket to open up and send out some appetizers. Yeah it was probably against the law but I didn't card any of them, I figure if they can be over there carrying a gun and risking their lives for our country they could have a dang beer. I only charged them for half of what they consumed. I watched for 2 hours while they all laughed, hugged and shared stories with the father of the fallen soldier. He even came over to thank me and share stories...wearing a button with his son's picture on it. All I could manage to say to each of them that night was thank you...thank you for your service. Okay..sorry that was long and happened 8 years ago, but it's still so fresh. Please add me, thank you!! - Linzee 1048.0 #161 10-15-13 10:32PMLike(30)Reply
Wow, this is an incredibly generous RAK. Please add me. We always thank service men or women when we see them. In fact, we have taught our boys to do the same. When we see someone in uniform, my boys will ask if they can thank them for their service. It's important the next generation appreciates and acknowledges the sacrifice and commitment. Thank you for this incredible RAK and reminder for all of us. - goofymom2boys 1458.4 #101 10-15-13 5:37PMLike(4)Reply
