:( sorry to heart it Boo. But I know you will prevail! Keep your chin up and keep believing in yourself. *hugs*
Aw, man, I'm sorry, Boo. I've never been put on anything for depression, but I've battled controlling my emotions. I tried several bc pills and they ALL made me feel horrible. I finally chose a nonhormonal method and feel so much better. Sometimes, meds just make everything worse, and the solution is to switch to a new drug or even stop messing with your body's chemistry. But it's something that only you and your doc can figure out. As you go through this journey, remember that YOU ARE in control of your emotions and your body. Only you know how you feel. If you don't feel better, ask for alternatives. You DON'T have to feel this way: YOU CAN control it. If you really feel like something is wrong in your body, go back and talk to your doc sooner, rather than in a few weeks' time. And in the meanwhile, know that we are all cheering for ya! ✨👏✨ - Spoonful_O_Sugar436.1 #285 5-16-12 5:06PMLike(2) Reply
On a side note, I always thought it was ironic that so many depression/anxiety meds cause weight gain. That's only going to make a person more depressed, lol. - Spoonful_O_Sugar436.1 #285 5-16-12 9:22PMLike(1) Reply
Me too! When I did my psych rotation in school, my patients would often just go off their psych meds because of the weight gain. I felt so bad for them. - PirateQueenBriezy 291.4 #660 5-17-12 10:38AM
Cass I'm so sorry:/ I know how you feel. My doctor kept switching my medication so I gained 30 pounds and I've lost 15 so far. This is they hardest weight to loose!! But you can do it baby girl you so strong! - BubbaLoo826.2 #109 6-4-12 10:39AMLike Reply
I can completely relate. I have anxiety, and that in turn makes me have bouts of depression. My Dr. put me on a medication call Remeron. I started the meds in September 2011. Since then I have gained 40 pounds! Because the meds make me very hungry, I don't really feel full at all, and it slowed down my metabolism. I have recently started dieting and exercising. The weight is hard to take off, but I'm not giving up. I am thankfull my anxiety is under control now though. Stay strong, if you ever need to talk you can DM me, I know exactly how you feel! Good luck and we are here for you ❤ - BettyPoop232.0 #1213 6-5-12 6:40PMLike Reply
I'll tell you why - even eating healthier food (so in theory you should get more substance), it is sad sad sad how quickly 1200 calories goes by. This thought is depressing, which makes it difficult to motivate the body to get up and do s More...
I know! I'm good at eating less, not moving more. - Squirtortue311.1 #552 5-16-12 9:40AMLike Reply

:( Sorry to hear it MDM... I think maybe the hardest thing about that is the mental berating we give ourselves when we feel like we've taken such a step backwards. Being the pessimist I am, I have to constantly remind myself positive thou More...
maybe its time to make mini goal rewards? Don't get a pedicure for the next 5 lbs.... 15 get a facial? I agree you have to weigh in rather you like it or not. It is the only thing that keeps me on track..... I have not been able to maintain on my own.... that weekly way in in a reality check for me did I do good or do I have to try hearder. Can you team up with somone to help you stop the "binge"..... I have to ask my boyfriend when we go to the extra yummy place to seriosuly just stop me by asking you full yet? It at first made me feel strage but now it makes me think oh I am. Good luck you got this just keep moving forward every pound gain back is a lesson learned an opportunity to revaluate what you are going . I know you got it in you just keep moving forward - BooEve123800.3 #115 4-10-12 2:00PMLike Reply
I definitely agree that I need to set mini goals... and instead of weekly weigh-ins, I'm going to start weighing EVERY day. I know that the "experts" don't suggest that, but I think my brain needs to see the number! - msdizmaui 518.9 #223 4-11-12 1:17PM
At least you cought yourself before you gained back 50 pounds. I know the "don't want to weigh in because I'm not going to like the number" mentality. Get it together before you've gained back 50 pounds! You can do it!!! - Mrs.mouse420.6 #307 4-10-12 2:46PMLike Reply
I know, right... I was thinking the same thing. If my binges go on for 2 or so months, the 50 lbs would be right back! Scary! - msdizmaui 518.9 #223 4-11-12 1:18PM
I know the feeling! I've been under stress and working a lot that I binge too! We can do it! - NingyMouse378.4 #359 4-10-12 9:34PMLike Reply

I think many people have experienced this frustration... As everyone else said, it isn't all in the number... If you are feeling better and your clothes are fitting better that also means you are going in the right direction! Hang in ther More...
That had happened to me before! It's hard to not get discouraged. It's obvious you are looking better, are you feeling better? Stick with it. :) - Mrs.mouse420.6 #307 4-10-12 4:42AMLike Reply
I've experienced almost the same thing. I hit a plateau that has lasted for months now, but everyone tells me I look like I'm still losing. My hubby says it is because I am building muscle and that weighs more than the fat. So keep it up....eventually the scale will budge again. ;0) - D55CR245.4 #1050 4-10-12 10:22AMLike Reply
As everyone said, if you are feeling and looking great, who cares about the number! I know we all look at the number to make ourselves feel better, but look at the mirror. You're gorgeous! :) - Madi204.1 #1571 4-13-12 12:00AMLike Reply
