I remember watching on the news on opening day. The crowds they had predicted never materialized, and the park was quiet. I never saw it for myself until 2006, so some of the original attractions were already gone by then. I think the old DCA was a bit cheezy in places. The movie with Whoopi Goldberg was just so unintentionally funny and cheezy. The videos of Superstar Limo are just plain creepy. I remember when DCA opened but I was not living in California at the time... It wasn't until about 3 years later that I saw the new park. My honest opinion of the park was disappointment. I thought it lacked the Disney qualities I've known for years. The new park is a lot better but I still consider Disneyland to be where the Magic really is.
