My favorite part of Thursdays! ADF's TBT pic! So adorable in your little red pancho! That truck was so iconic! Anyone wonder what happened to it? Designed by Bob Gurr and built by the Carnation Company in 1953-1954 it now lives, fully restored, at the Carnation Farm outside of Seattle. It is where the founder of Carnation and the next four generations of his family lived. It was given to them by the Disney Company which had put it in the back lot and did not know what to do with it. GREAT PIC! Thanks so much for posting it! - Duchess_SMK 5432.7 #14 8-15-13 9:32AMLike(9)Reply
Oh you look so cute!! Love the ponchos- yours with tassels and sister's with a Greek looking border.and the socks and your red shoes. So I understand that guests were able to buy flowers at Disneyland, but what would they do with them during the day? Also, was it your dad that was the shutterbug? Someone certainly took some great pics! Thank you, as always, for sharing!!! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 3397.1 #26 8-15-13 8:39AMLike(1)Reply
So awesome! I went to the AP event before Disneyland's birthday where they talked about the various sights on Main Street and their history. One thing mentioned was that the flowers sold there weren't fresh, but it was a cool little prop that people could buy and they would often take pictures around the park with their flowers all dressed up. - rbeezy 702.9 #215 8-15-13 1:43PMLikeReply
Ponchos!!! I remember that area being so crowded with flowers, but it was so beautiful. Great picture. - snowwannab 667.4 #234 8-15-13 5:22PMLikeReply
