I had the same picture on my binder during junior high! Easily one of my favorite shows! I went to one of those Target concerts when they were promoting the MMC album. Met J.C. there!
To add to this, they often filmed at the backlot of Hollywood Studios at WDW. There was even a part where day guests could walk through a cat walk and watch them tape the show. Yeah, I've been going to Disneyland for 52 years now, and that empty track to me is the greatest missed opportunity I can recall. Seeing vast tonnage of empty concrete and steel year after year is, kind of a "fail" in my opinion. The creativity of the imagineers over the almost 58 years of Disneyland's existence is second to none, and I believe the reason it is still empty falls on the hands of the people "upstairs". I would love to see the return o the peoplemover! It is too bad they took it out. It would have been neat to have my kids be able to grow up with it. It was such a classic. Also, the front of Alice lost its charm when they had to cover up so much. Hopefully they can come up with some sort of resolution soon!
