Has anyone else noticed that if this guy stood up he would be about 4' 2"
I'm not going to lie, but I hadn't been on that ride for years and years. When we went back a few years ago I legitimately had to stare at the first Captain Jack you see, when he's hiding being the manakins, I thought he was real. I seriously thought it was a CM dressed up. His movements, blinking, everything were so life like. - Belleslibrary230.3 #1240 5-9-13 10:26AMLike(2) Reply

You should find the video on YouTube of Johnny depp staring at his animatronic figure when they showed it to him on the ride. It's crazy how much it looks like him!! Even he can't believe it - MissMolly 698.2 #141 5-9-13 11:50AM
Poncho Jimmy is a genius. I got stuck in the front last trip without a poncho and ended up being Wet Undies Nick - MightyWhitey648.3 #166 5-9-13 8:17AMLike Reply
I'm with ya Jimmy! Ran into the man who was making fun of me wearing a poncho hours later and he was still wet and uncomfortable, guess I had the last laugh - carminaire33.2 #4245 5-9-13 8:28AMLike Reply

Yes! Best time to go in nov is after thanksgiving. However, living far away, we usually go at times when the park is "busy" anyway so we don't really know any different. My family went the day of thanksgiving and a few days after and it really wasn't as horrible as I thought it was going to be. The lines were typically about a little over an hour wait. Being on a tighter budget, the hotel we usually stay in is the Marriott Fairfield Inn. It is reasonably priced and is only .02 miles away. It took maybe 5 min to walk to the park. Only down fall is they don't have continental breakfast. Is you can afford a DL hotel, do it!!! I've heard nothing but good things about them! - Belleslibrary230.3 #1240 5-8-13 1:12PMLike(1) Reply
The first week of December may also be a good time. All of the decorations will be up, as well as all shows, parades and fireworks up and running, as well as extended operating hours, as well as lighter crowds compared to other parts of the holiday season (although still busy). As far as hotels, it totally depends on your wants/needs. There are several good neighbor (and non good neighbor) that are a shorter walk to the main gates than that any of the Disney properties and at a significant savings too. We have stayed at several in the area and it's hard to match the convenience, especially when you are spending all of your time at the parks. - MightyWhitey648.3 #166 5-8-13 1:16PMLike(1) Reply

Thanks again for all the responses. You all gave some great advice. I know we could probably use the ap pass at least 10 days over the next year. - Danierob3.9 #13995 5-8-13 8:18PMLike Reply

You're welcome! Have you never visited this attraction? There's a lot of Disney history here (look for Duchess_SMK's history post next month). This is one of the remaining original attractions still operating and I hope it never goes away! - MyPark 944.4 #92 5-8-13 8:48AM
