Thanks everyone! I do agree, I will probably obsess over keeping it clean the whole time. It would kill me to leave it home though and I will admit that the material is great and rarely shows dirt! I'm going to check out other disney back More...
Take it...nothing will happen to it. Just don't put it on the floor or wet counter tops (bathrooms). I highly doubt you'll go on daredevil adventures where it will suffer a dreadful accident. Just take minor caution of where you put it and just think you're there to have fun 😃 - LaBelleParis 1140.4 #130 10-26-14 2:35PMLike(1)Reply

I got a barrel bag just for park trips. I don't need everything in my large purse for my Disney trips, just essentials like phone, ID, and plastic (keys get left in the hotel room with the luggage). - GoofyMom77 642.4 #265 10-27-14 1:37AMLikeReply
Thanks, you guys! You definitely got me leaning towards a GoPro! I've seen mixed opinions on picture quality. Are the pictures similar to a point and shoot camera's quality? Thanks again for your help!
I just got the new GoPro 4 Silver and it's awesome for those occasions when you have people in front of you and you don't want head shots in your way. It also takes movies and you don't need to worry about it getting out of focus. It comes with a few attachments, but I recommend buying the "selfie-stick", so there's no need to ask anyone to take your picture. 😃 - LaBelleParis 1140.4 #130 10-22-14 6:26PMLikeReply
I think the combination of a GoPro and Photopass would be stellar! - MJmouse 273.0 #1026 10-22-14 6:46PMLikeReply

Being an amateur photographer who shoots with a DSLR, the GoPro is good, but it only shoots in a wide angle, fish eye. If I were you, I would go with a more advanced point and shoot that does record good video also. - BaseballMickey_CM 6546.2 #11 10-22-14 8:28PMLikeReply
Next time when they do the adults part with the hula hoop you need to get in there and shake it like it'd hot and get a pic, I did when this show first season - pikarich 3352.3 #31 10-22-14 1:47PMLikeReply
Items wrinkle less if you roll them. Place in a bag if your worried about glitter. When you get there just hang in the bathroom and the steam from the shower should take care of any wrinkles. Enjoy. - sewedna 376.2 #542 9-28-14 10:47PMLikeReply

Even though your feelings might be hurt, try not to let it affect your relationship with your sister. I have a very good friend who was in my wedding that lives 15 minutes from Disneyland, and although we go to DL at least twice a year an More...
I am so sorry! That does seem awful. As @MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz said if there are underlying issue that would be typical. Once the anger and hurt subsides, I would make a heartfelt attempt to let her know that you were sad that you weren't able to see your nieces or nephews. In the meantime I wouldn't talk about this with other members of the family. Make this just between you and her. If she doesn't receive what you have to say, don't force it. You can't make others change. - RadiatorSprings4Ever 945.1 #166 9-13-14 6:05PMLike(2)Reply
Wow. Definite family issues. I would be very upset - Goofytom 1065.7 #145 9-13-14 3:32PMLike(1)Reply
It depends on your relationship. If you are close, then I would wait a couple weeks to get thru the emotions, then tell her you were bummed and could you come up for a visit . Maybe she was waiting for you to make a first move. But if you were not close to begin with, she probably would not want to call if she was spending time with her family, even if you LOVE Disneyland yourself. And when a parent dies it brings up for some many bad emotions and maybe she did not want to talk about it. I was left in charge, one sibling tried to make up for whatever she didn't get from my parent that she sued me. All I saw in trust probate court was grown up children who still had lots of issues. We prevailed in court but I saw the nastiness. Next time you talk to her maybe don't bring up your mom, tell her you would like to be closer but just wait and see, it is up to her to want that and it might take awhile. And as others above said, don't discuss this with Anyone else in the family. That is what causes all our disputes, and it makes you wonder why the other person told you. I hope someday you can be as close as you want to be! - secretagentangel 1326.0 #105 9-13-14 11:02PMLikeReply
Honestly I would be hurt to and as angry as you have every right to be, wait until you cool down to talk to her. Just remember, for own health, and peace of mind forgive her. Her actions have very little to do with who you are. Biggest mistake u can do is take it personal because her actions were all her and her own issues, not yours - MarshaMouse 4074.5 #24 9-13-14 11:31PMLikeReply
Thanks everyone! I will be so sad if we don't get to go on IASM. :/
In my experience, the fireworks were Xmas already but the parade doesn't start Until the official date. IASW has been open prior to the start date also but there may be times it isn't. I would wait to see what the calendar on Disney says for it to be official - brodysmommy 390.0 #516 9-13-14 3:15PMLikeReply
In not sure about IASW or the parade, but I'm pretty sure most of the decor is up a few days before (maybe just a few last minute touches missing), so you'll have the Christmassy feel. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 563.7 #316 9-13-14 3:18PMLikeReply
The transformation for Xmas time at the. Parks begins very early. The parks start being decorated for Xmas time starting in mid October...the back portions of the parks are decorated first and make their way towards the front...you will see snow on the castle before October is over and holiday merchandise in stores...after Halloween Time ends its a mad dash to place the final decor for the holidays in the front portions of the parks...you will see most holiday decor up before the official start of the holidays and the Xmas tree is put up too :-) IASM holiday version opens up as Xmas time in the parks officially begins :-) - uscdisneyteacher 7223.6 #8 9-13-14 3:21PMLikeReply

I think this is a great idea but it kinda stinks that you can't meet them at all unless you're there right at opening or within an hour or two. We come from SD and have a 3 year old so it's tough with traffic and whatnot to get there that early. Hopefully in the next few weeks before Halloween picks up crowds again I can make it up around 11 and they still have some passes left! - DisneyLuvinMama 334.5 #649 9-2-14 10:46PMLikeReply

I think that the "golden" age is different for every kid. In my opinion, the best time is when they are old enough to ride most rides without being too scared, yet young enough to still believe in all of the magical experiences that make Disney so special. - angelaprkns 10.2 #9476 8-21-14 4:53PMLikeReply
I don't have kids of my own but when I saw my friends 5 year old at the parks... It seemed to me like that is the golden age. - missmimi90 1606.9 #87 8-21-14 4:56PMLikeReply
I don't know if there truly is a magical age. I think every kid and every adult is different. I think it all depends on the situation and the trip. I'm sure taking my granddaughter for her first trip will be very magical for me and my kids. But for her will probably be later on in life - grumpyinphx 232.2 #1476 8-22-14 8:19AMLikeReply

i remember being at MK for the first time in like 15 years and was walking down main street just like I do here and was kinda in a hurry and had my head down a bit looking at my phone and knowing each curve and way to get in and out of the areas during a parade and I ran into something and looked up an it took me back for a second. I remember that weight shaped hole in the window! According to my calculations (which are usually right) too many kids stuck their big noggin in there and got stuck. I used to do that but never got stuck - philliprocks 930.6 #169 4-3-14 2:24PMLike(1)Reply
We have had 1 done in the park and 2 years later we had one done at DTD. The one from the park is definitely better quality. I don't know if it is because it was done somewhere different or because it was 2 years later. - disney mama 120.0 #3083 4-1-14 6:09PMLikeReply

Check out the list of safe rides online. I was told Pirates was ok but I passed on that one but many pregnant women have ridden it. Take a train ride, monorail ride, get pictures with the characters (characters like babies and bellies!) a More...
Anything with a height limit is off limits. While it may be coincidence, I would avoid Pirates, right after is when my third flipped sideways and I spent the last trimester with her doing acrobats, thankfully she was a good little girl and went head down in time at the end. I didn't feel like climbing all those stairs on Tarzan Treehouse. I did most everything else while pregnant with my third. I have a 2 and 4 year old and we have usually done everything in DCA in half a day but it would take us a few days to fully experience Disneyland- so I'd 100% choose Disneyland!!
No question about it! Disneyland is always number one!! Try to get there at park opening if you can. Head straight to fantasyland. Have fun! Mickey's Magical Map show in the fantasyland theater is not to be missed! - MeridaFan 3475.5 #28 3-18-14 9:38AMLike(1)Reply

I have a Walt Disney Studios phone case that I occasionally change out with (gasp) a bejeweled Ariel case. My phone also currently sports a Sleeping Beauty inspired wallpaper. I've been known to take mini Aurora to work. If someone mentions Disney at work everyone points to me because I won't shut up about the parks, movies or general Disney history.
