And even though sooo many people say "Why take them if they won't remember it?" They do remember it! When my 2 year old isn't afraid of characters or a ride, it's because they remember the prior experience. My kids at least, it is all rel More...
I think that the "golden" age is different for every kid. In my opinion, the best time is when they are old enough to ride most rides without being too scared, yet young enough to still believe in all of the magical experiences that make Disney so special. - angelaprkns 9.7 #9236 8-21-14 4:53PMLikeReply
I don't have kids of my own but when I saw my friends 5 year old at the parks... It seemed to me like that is the golden age. - missmimi90 1370.6 #90 8-21-14 4:56PMLikeReply
I don't know if there truly is a magical age. I think every kid and every adult is different. I think it all depends on the situation and the trip. I'm sure taking my granddaughter for her first trip will be very magical for me and my kids. But for her will probably be later on in life - grumpyinphx 53.4 #4207 8-22-14 8:19AMLikeReply
My boyfriend and I go a lot to Disneyland. We are over 28 and still believe the magic! We always say "that's Disney magic for you!" When something awesome happens while there. I know my parents took me to Walt disney world when I was 5 and I don't remember it at all! - PrincessDaisy 304.6 #773 8-22-14 9:06AMLikeReply
Such a good picture, I feel like I'm there! This is usually our first and last ride!! I wish we were there instead of being stuck in the heat of the Central Valley 😩.

Last Saturday afternoon the crowds were very late- we practically walked on Star Tours and Indy. I doubt we'll have the same luck tomorrow. LOL. - DeadliestPassholder 184.6 #2046 7-3-14 10:20AMLikeReply
That's SOOO exciting! We spent our honeymoon there and I can't wait to go back, it was amazing! Did you get the free dining? They are offering it right now. I highly suggest taking advantage of it! - MamalovesMinnie 13.3 #7680 5-9-14 9:07AMLikeReply
Capris, t shirts, shorts, tank tops... If you go to my posts there's an entire feed from all the lovely ladies of MW regarding comfy footwear 😊 I don't think I'm brave enough to wear a dress, especially with all the rides. Nobody wants a Disney wardrobe malfunction! - ames013 61.6 #3995 4-27-14 9:24AMLikeReply
This is right up my alley! I'm ordering it like you did next time! - missmimi90 1370.6 #90 4-14-14 8:08PMLikeReply
I had the not so healthy shrimp and pasta from carnation yesterday. I felt guilty after I ate it. Wouldn't have minded eating this salad instead. It looks fantastic. - MonLuvsDisney 182.0 #2081 4-14-14 8:10PMLikeReply
i remember being at MK for the first time in like 15 years and was walking down main street just like I do here and was kinda in a hurry and had my head down a bit looking at my phone and knowing each curve and way to get in and out of the areas during a parade and I ran into something and looked up an it took me back for a second. I was thinking, wow this really is a lot different - Dave 11097.9 #2 4-7-14 1:02PMLikeReply
I went for the first time when I was 37 and was so excited too. You will have so much fun. My husband get as much or more excited than my son for each trip. Next April will be our 5th visit and we can't wait. - keepmovingforward 84.1 #3585 4-4-14 6:45AMLikeReply
I love this! We always take a picture at Mickey's house and one at the same spot in front of the Mickey wheel!
I remember that weight shaped hole in the window! According to my calculations (which are usually right) too many kids stuck their big noggin in there and got stuck. I used to do that but never got stuck - philliprocks 806.5 #183 4-3-14 2:24PMLike(1)Reply
We have had 1 done in the park and 2 years later we had one done at DTD. The one from the park is definitely better quality. I don't know if it is because it was done somewhere different or because it was 2 years later. - disney mama 67.9 #3863 4-1-14 6:09PMLikeReply
Downloaded Spotify and I'm listening to MouseWait radio right now and it's making folding these loads and loads of laundry much easier-and merrier! 😊 Thanks so much!!!
I love listening to the MouseWait Radio! If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the menu, you'll find it there :) (if I explained that correctly) - MusicallySoundsational 111.6 #3186 3-19-14 7:29PMLikeReply
Spotify! Best playlists are "The Essential Disney Theme Park Songs," "Disney," & "Disney/Pixar." You can find hours of Disney on there! - Diz_Mel 77.0 #3693 3-19-14 7:50PMLikeReply

Check out the list of safe rides online. I was told Pirates was ok but I passed on that one but many pregnant women have ridden it. Take a train ride, monorail ride, get pictures with the characters (characters like babies and bellies!) a More...
Anything with a height limit is off limits. While it may be coincidence, I would avoid Pirates, right after is when my third flipped sideways and I spent the last trimester with her doing acrobats, thankfully she was a good little girl and went head down in time at the end. I didn't feel like climbing all those stairs on Tarzan Treehouse. I did most everything else while pregnant with my third. I sat when I needed it while my husband took our first 2 on things here and there. - Autoalice 157.3 #2445 3-18-14 11:45PMLikeReply
Fantasyland is the first thing that comes to mind! You can ride everything, with the exception of maybe the teacups. Also just shopping and people watching is a lot of fun too! 😁 Have a great trip and congrats on the lil bundle of joy. - Miss-E-Mouse 1323.7 #93 3-18-14 11:49PMLikeReply
I have a 2 and 4 year old and we have usually done everything in DCA in half a day but it would take us a few days to fully experience Disneyland- so I'd 100% choose Disneyland!!
No question about it! Disneyland is always number one!! Try to get there at park opening if you can. Head straight to fantasyland. Have fun! Mickey's Magical Map show in the fantasyland theater is not to be missed! - MeridaFan 3250.3 #27 3-18-14 9:38AMLike(1)Reply
Those dresses are like gold! Does that mean you can only purchase them if you pay for a package with all the hair and makeup or can you buy the dresses separately without having all the other stuff done?

Thank you all! It sounds like Disneyland is a great place on Mommy's Day! I'm really looking forward to it now! 😊💕🌼

They give fresh flowers to the moms. And there is a Mother's Day brunch at Disneyland Hotel. If you plan having a meal in the parks make sure to make reservations. Last year Blue Bayou booked up and they had to turn all walk ins away. - PrincessAuroraMomma 450.5 #412 3-17-14 7:20PMLikeReply
Mother's Day is one of my favorite days at the park. Like others said, they give out carnations to all of the moms and the main entrance. Also, there are many places that offer special menus for this day. If you check our News section, I posted a some info about these special food selections, along with the full menu from the Disney Parks Blog. FYI: Reservations for Mother's Day started back in the 12th, so act fast! - BaseballMickey_CM 5922.0 #13 3-17-14 9:13PMLikeReply

Hey, read this!! If you go to a nearby Vons, go to the gift card center and look for park tickets. They started the new deal in January and it doesn't expire until the june! The discounts are GREAT. I just bought one last week, and I didnt need proof of residency (I'm from AZ) - princessvg 40.4 #4647 3-17-14 9:11PMLikeReply
After we retire, my husband and I joke that he'd like to be the conductor for the DL Railroad and I can be the Fairy Godmother!
A dancer in the parades! I've wanted this job for years, ever since my dance teacher told us about her experience as a choreographer for the parades. I'm actually working really hard right now (dance classes, good grades-- i want to go into computer programming) to go to college in California so I can do DCP😄Dream big!!! - princessvg 40.4 #4647 3-16-14 9:34AMLike(2)Reply
My dream role is to be the mom of the two happiest boys in the park! Dream accomplished! - YummyMummy 29.3 #5256 3-16-14 9:41AMLike(2)Reply
I sport my Disney Dooney and Bourke everyday! Disney proud 👊
I have a Walt Disney Studios phone case that I occasionally change out with (gasp) a bejeweled Ariel case. My phone also currently sports a Sleeping Beauty inspired wallpaper. I've been known to take mini Aurora to work. If someone mentions Disney at work everyone points to me because I won't shut up about the parks, movies or general Disney history. I may or may have not once voted for Mickey Mouse in a presidential primary. It's highly probable I have ended relationships because of the words "I don't like Disneyland". - BeatleMike 511.5 #349 3-11-14 7:39PMLike(2)Reply

I haven't been on MW alot lately but when i log on, your pictures astound me. You really are a remarkable photographer and hopefully one day you'll be able to put all these pics into some kind of photobook that we can all purchase - bubbaschoice 53.9 #88 3-7-14 1:47AMLikeReply

Yes, but so worth it! Thank you for taking the time to recognize us! If I could and we could financially afford it (or if we lived in Washington) I'd be a stay at home mom. I'd also like to recognize those single dads out there who are doing the parenting role all on their own. It's a tough job to handle! - IDVandalSkipperCM 2061.4 #54 3-5-14 8:46AMLike(1)Reply
Thank you!! We just got back from dl (7 hr drive) this afternoon and now my husband is gone the next 2 days in San Diego for a work conference. So I'm on my own for 48+ hours with all 3 kids... Tonighy was a challenge with baths but it got done... By Friday I'll really need to appreciate this post :) so thanks in advance also :) - brodysmommy 333.8 #627 3-6-14 1:25AMLikeReply
