I wish I could! I'm attempting to get into running and so far I love it, but I just can't afford to run a Disney race yet. My goal is to run the Tinkerbell half next February! Good luck with your race, I know you can do it!
Why can't they do a "Zumba dance with Disney" or something like that? I'm also NOT a runner so I admire all of you runners out there! - MissAmericaSings286.9 #703 1-19-13 11:14AMLike(7) Reply
Count us in! Me and my mini (18) are going to run! It's our first, and we started training in earnest this past week. We are so excited, but we are also sure that plenty of pixie dust and encouragement will be needed! Let's do this! - mrstoad240.4 #1135 1-19-13 11:27AMLike(2) Reply
Didn't get there in time. Hoping I can come down to cheer you all on though. - meridafan1100.9 #74 1-25-13 10:44AMLike Reply
For those MWers who wanted to sign up for the half marathon or 10k....you can still sign up through get travel. I was able to get a spot in the 5k for my boyfriend after it was sold out through run disney. - SBsnowwhite279.2 #753 1-27-13 5:58PMLike Reply
It's a safety issue. When I worked Pooh's Corner and guests wanted their apples cut, I asked my lead if we did that. She said no bc to many CM's were injuring themselves and they did not want sharp knives around. Also there wasn't a clean area to do it with clean utensils. We would give the guests plastic knives so they could cut it themselves. Probably more injuries there, But that's why. - splashphotoCM882.1 #104 1-17-13 8:46AMLike Reply
This is absolutly a time for all the amazing minds who work for Disney to come up with a really cool machine for us to put our apples in at the parks and it can make bells and whistles and such and out comes a perfectly cut apple (kind of like it was at Charlie and Wonkas Chocolate Factory!) - secretagentangel710.8 #143 1-17-13 5:29PMLike Reply
Please add me for CourtyAstroBlisters. Even though she's a Giants fan, I hope she gets this so she can enjoy a little bit more magic after her run. 😁 Thank you for your generosity. Hope you get an ap again soon. - Waites4DodgerEars690.1 #152 1-8-13 6:32PMLike(3) Reply
Today at an adoption event, I let a little girl into the cat enclosure to look at the adult cats, with her mom looking on. She was so excited to see and play with the kitties, and it was a joy to watch.
My mom was just telling me about this, and what she decided to do. At dinner last night, her waitress seemed down & sad, so she asked her what was wrong. She told my mom her car had been broken into that day & some Christmas presents and other items were stolen. Feeling for the girl, my mom tipped her the same amount of their dinner bill, hoping this would help out some. 😊 - London-In-Wonderland395.3 #344 12-23-12 5:25PMLike(10) Reply

Wrap a cute Disney picture frame with a message relating to your trip! That way, the picture frame can be for holding a picture of you two on your trip.
Do an Adventure Book like from "Up" and on one page write "Our Next Adventure" and have tickets or pictures of Disney World. - IDVandalSkipperCM1326.5 #62 12-21-12 1:58PMLike(9) Reply
Several years ago, my daughters' Christmas present was a trip to Disneyland. I bought those magnetic letters for kids (the brightly colored ones that you put on the fridge), pulled out the letters that spelled "Disneyland" and wrapped them up in twos and threes. Then they had to shuffle the letters around until they figured out what the present was. - jmgphx323.0 #525 12-21-12 1:55PMLike(1) Reply
Not a fan. I am also not a fan of bringing Starbucks into magic kingdom. Too common , both McDonald's and Starbucks could be found on any corner USA. Disneyland should be unique and has the success to be so. - polo3320.1 #5147 12-19-12 5:36AMLike(5) Reply
I never met her, but seeing the outpouring of love makes me wish I had. Dahulagirl sounds like a truly incredible person and I can see that she will be greatly. missed!
She will be truly missed and never forgotten..her smile and laugh were so infectious and she was somebody that you just wanted to be around as much as you could. Her positive vibrations just bounced off her to everyone who was around her and her caring and kindness was beyond anyone that I had met before. I don't think you guys really know how much she really did for MouseWait and helped shape this community..I will miss her so much but I am so happy and blessed that I got to know her and call her my friend..She touched so many of our lives in such a positive way that she will never be forgotten and I will forever cherish the memories I had with her and many of you all....my thoughts are with her loving Husband E818, her Brother Shangz and the rest of the Dahulament clan that loves her so much... - Dave 8833.9 #2 12-13-12 12:34PMLike(59) Reply
Still, hours after receiving the very sad news of her passing, I am at a loss for the right words... She was a treasure to our family. She blessed us in HUGE ways with her beautiful friendship. The impact she had on this community of friends was nothing short of amazing. The world needs more of the love, kindness, generosity, joyfulness, positivity... that this gem of a woman daily lived out. Our family is covering her family in prayers for comfort and peace during what we know to be a very sad and difficult time. That one of a kind light up your entire day smile she so generously showered so many of us with is going to be so incredibly missed. Love you, friend... Thanks for being that, a VERY special friend, to our family AND to the MouseWait family. - MrsPrinceCharmingLike(38) Reply
