Having had the fortunate experience to participate in the entertainment department in several capacities, and considering the months of planning, rehearsals, scheduling, and so on, I am always amazed considering all the logistics that come together to present these pageants to the world.
As a performer, you haven't any idea what a joy it is to represent such a grand tradition.
As a costumer, I was flabbergasted by the array of pieces and just the dang laundry that was involved.
As a backstage crew member the timing that had to ensue was so amazingly calculated that I was impressed that the show would go on.
As a guest, I treasure these gorgeous presentations that no other park can say they do it better.
Sorry that your experience was not what your high expectations would have led you to.

If you watch, most of the time a new person freaks out and cries bully, it's usually when someone gently reminds them of a rule or informs them of a rule. then they freak out, caped crusaders come charging in, and everyone forgets that it was just someone reminding them of a rule to begin with.
