Hey Doc, I think you and many other MWers know what my wife and I do... My wife is an acute care nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology as well as an associate professor for UCSF's masters of nursing program. That right, I married one incredibly smart and caring person. As for me, I am a career naval officer with 23+ years of active duty having spent 19 of those years serving with explosive ordnance disposal mobile units. I am medically retiring out this year after losing my ulna nerve in my right arm in addition to having the arm dislocated, rotator cuff torn, shoulder impingement, dislocated rib, 1 compressed vertebrae and 1 herniated disc due to an IED encounter. I'm doing much better after my last procedure which almost a year ago...thank you all who supported me when I did the Tough Mudder last month and I am running Sausalito's Save the Seals run tomorrow, as well as Pleasanton's Tri for Real triathlon and Half Moon Bay's Splash and Dash in September! - BombFrogFormerCM 780.6 #202 8-16-13 8:44PMLike(7)Reply
Hubby is an ER Doc, oldest son is an ICU RN and I'm an MA (didn't finish nursing school due to my last mini). - 2BeignetOrNot2Beignet 945.7 #161 8-16-13 7:37PMLike(6)Reply
Yayyyyy!! Thank you donor and thank you Lord!! We will keep you in our prayers for smooth surgery and recovery and life forever after!!! God bless!! - secretagentangel 1300.9 #103 5-5-13 6:09PMLike(11)Reply
I just have to say, THIS happy moment is why everyone needs to become an organ donor! There are so many people waiting and praying, who's life can be saved by the selfless act of becoming a donor...heaven forbid if anything happened wouldn't you want to give someone else the chance for life... - Sweet_Irish_Cream 3867.3 #25 5-5-13 11:22PMLike(7)Reply
Laaaaaame. Jk. If I made it 200 more feet, I would have shoved this in your face like I said I would. Naturally, Cove Bar got the best of me and I had no idea where you went after saying hi to everyone else, so I didn't get to shove this in your face. I should have though, lol. /endrant - Jacqueline 580.0 #303 5-5-13 1:42AMLikeReply
Wonderful story! When I was little and beanie babies were all the rage, I left my brand new Nana (from PP) beanie baby on the Matterhorn. When they couldn't find it, a cm took me to the gift shop and let me pick out a new one. Ill never forget how thankful I was and how kind that lady was to me :) - randirella 315.1 #739 4-24-13 11:17PMLikeReply
Love it! Every time I see Fantasmic shots it brings me back to when I took grams for her first trip ever to Disneyland and she teared up at the end of the show saying how amazing that it all started w a mouse ☺ - DisneyMe2Death 875.0 #181 4-17-13 7:10PMLike(4)Reply

Yeah Dumbo flies during the fireworks. I didn't know until a few weeks ago when a CM working at Casey Jr. told everyone to look up and there he was. Haha. Now it's my favorite part. - Amy23 274.2 #1005 6-4-12 9:22PMLikeReply
