One time I was in San Francisco and my wife and I were walking back to our hotel when I had the sudden urge to poop. She decided she wanted a picture of our hotel and I had no time because it turned out to be diahrea.I started running while she stayed back to take the pic. This was back in the film camera days and when we developed the pic there I was jamming it to the bathroom at the bottom of the pic. Anyway, the point I'm.trying to make is that I was running pretty fast.this is a true story - philliprocks 928.6 #169 11-8-14 10:53PMLike(2)Reply
Once the kiddos are down hubby and I light the fireplace, make some pumpkin spice coffee and watch Arsenic and Old Lace (the Old Cary Grant version). Can't wait! - LittleAprilShowers 559.5 #318 10-30-14 2:10PMLike(3)Reply

We're going to miss your hi jinx! Have fun in the outside world!
Breaks are good--too much of anything isn't healthy, and when you start feeling a little burnt out or uninspired or whatever, it's time to take a step back. With too much Disneyland, you can kinda become desensitized to all the excitement and hope and stuff because you're bombarded with it from every angle. I didn't get to DL for five years while I was in college and then when I graduated, I wanted to try living in Hawaii (great decision). That first trip back when I was in my twenties was so special because I had changed so much, but I realized my love for DL was still strong. Now, my husband and I have had passes off and on for 8 years now and whenever we go back after an extended break, our love for the parks and hope for the future is rekindled. For us, those breaks are a great thing--we find our inspiration again, but we have to step back every once in awhile to be able to really appreciate it, understand it, and feel it acutely. 💖 - Spoonful_O_Sugar 562.8 #316 10-27-14 7:27PMLike(7)Reply
I am very thankful and truly grateful for all of the kind words here in this post and this wonderful community that I joined in 2009.I do plan on going for the 60th birthday on July 17th but as before that I'm not too sure if and when I will renew again. If by month 3-4 I really want to go and its driving me crazy I will probably just go and get a pass but I am going to making a very conscious effort on my part to detach myself for a while from the parks and most things Disney related. I have had a pass now for the last 6 and visited the parks probably a 1000 times and visited WDW 10 times in that time frame. I have met a lot of great people and created a lot of wonderful memories during those times but its just time to give it up for a while like I had done after I worked there several years ago. I have so many interests and hobbies in life that don't just center around the parks and I think this is a great chance for myself to go back out there and go explore the museums I haven't been to in years, take those trips to other countries instead of WDW, go and try the laundry list of restaurants I have not yet tried because I spend a lot of time at Napa Rose, get involved with charities and other organizations that I am passionate about, get back involved in the music scene and find creative outlets that can help myself become more fulfilled in life. Don't want anybody to think this is some kind of swan song and I'm going away for good its just simply whats been on my mind lately. For those who have known me long enough, I'm a deep thinker and like to share my feelings and whats going on in my life. I feel that it helps me to share with others whats going on put down in writing my thoughts. Its something that I never use to do until this year and really found it helped me out quite a bit to put things in writing and encourage others to do so..... - Dave 12050.8 #2 10-28-14 3:16PMLike(6)Reply
😳So is Duffy in on this? Since he's gone now you're going too?! I can say I relate to what you've said. I sometimes feel like I'm missing out on other things because I'm always at the parks on my weekends off. Of course I love the parks just like everyone here on MW. But when you feel it's time for a break do it, why not! Let the withdrawals kick in and when you return hopefully the magic will be there for you. Adventure is out there👍 - LuvsMimisHouse 515.7 #359 10-28-14 10:18PMLikeReply

I have stayed there several times and found that I like it better than the Quality Inns that are closer to the parks. It is clean, the rooms are spacious and the breakfast had something for everyone. No parking fee, free wifi More...
Yes, we stayed there once. 2, maybe 3 years ago, I think. It's right by CSU Fullerton, and was easy to access the freeway. It took a bit longer to get to DL than we would have preferred (10-15 mins). Hotel was clean and they had a pretty good breakfast for the price of the room. What we always remember was that there was a super-friendly and enthusiastic lady who set up the breakfast: she was a hoot! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 562.8 #316 10-17-14 10:27PMLikeReply
I have stayed there several times and found that I like it better than the Quality Inns that are closer to the parks. It is clean, the rooms are spacious and the breakfast had something for everyone. No parking fee, free wifi and helpful staff. It is in an industrial area but I have never felt unsafe there. If you don't mind staying a couple of miles away it is a good place to stay! - verolly 772.7 #209 10-24-14 12:06PMLikeReply
I managed to get all four. Now to get them framed and hung.
We only were able to get two. Daisy is sold out, and the brat wouldn't listen to me. I told him, we should eat at Zocalo the night we arrive. Then French Market the night of the party. No he wanted to do the opposite. I didn't know Zocalo closed the night of the Halloween party. So we didn't get Minnie. - Lelundrial 498.3 #377 10-14-14 7:47PMLikeReply
Noted! Looks like a great place to enjoy lunch on our next visit. Have only been once (not sure why - food was so good) but feeling the need to visit again! - MyMouseMickey32 136.3 #2819 10-4-14 10:47PMLikeReply
I love their onion rings and loaded fries. Yum. I wish I was there now to have them for dinner - TrueFromOzLovesDisney 454.5 #421 10-4-14 10:54PMLikeReply
You kids are probably saying to yourself, "now I'm gonna go out, and I'm gonna get the world by the tail and wrap it around and put it in my pocket!" Well I'm here to tell you that you're probably gonna find out, as you go out there, that you're not gonna amount to jack squat! You're gonna end up eating a steady diet of government cheese and living in a van down by the river! - Alicewhoareyou 1392.2 #99 9-13-14 7:06PMLike(2)Reply
