I ate out 3 meals today...oh my! Unfortunately, it was not for good reasons:( Got to my school at 7 all ready to teach...our school experienced catastrophic flooding:( Feeling very overwhelmed, sad, mad etc. As teachers, we bonded and are coming up with a plan. Our community it helping us too. We are a small, private school with a passion for our kids and their education. So overwhelmed right now. - dianeburns1998 114.9 #3483 1-21-16 10:58PMLike(1)Reply

This is such a fun thing to do each year and @@GoofyMom77 does an awesome service to us all for doing this each year. A couple helps, join in if you haven't before, you won't regret it. It's so fun! Get your present ready as early as you can, I've had two sicky years so I had to learn that. Presents should be there by the day she says, but don't stress if you don't get yours till that date. Some people send real early. Some send on time after they find the right gift. And a few of us wait to post what we received to Christmas or the day after as that's when we open them . Make sure you email @@GoofyMom77 you received it but you can open it Christmas day. And don't worry about what to send, she gives you your victims likes and everyone's' happy with presents! - secretagentangel 10213.5 #11 11-1-15 8:30PMLike(5)Reply
UPDATE (12/15/15): I just sent out the last batch of victims. I'm LOVING the gifts so far!!! I'm still getting daily emails about gifts being sent, too, so it's only gonna get better! The next step? A couple days after Christmas, I stalk everyone who's participated and make sure they've received their gift. If for some reason they don't post, I email/DM to verify. If they don't get one, I start contacting the Santas to find out what happened. Remember I'm only human and make mistakes sometimes, like forgetting to note that a package was coming in late. Usually around the middle of January I start calling on my elves to step in with cases involving theft, lost in mail, and trolls. On average for the last three years, I've only called on two elves. - GoofyMom77 1139.7 #182 12-15-15 12:47PMLikeReply

Wow! Amazing RAK! Please add me. My favorite moment in the park was when a CM blessed my daughter and her BFF, who were both celebrating their 16th birthdays, with a private Jungle Cruise. We got all the way to Trader Sam and the ride stalled. After sitting for 10 minutes listening to head hunter jokes, the CMs were instructed to return all boats to the dock in reverse so we got to do the Jungle Cruise backwards! That was a new one for us! - chantelrj 243.8 #1542 2-11-13 9:57PMLike(1)Reply
We always stay at The Castle Inn. Usually find better rates through Getawaytoday. 3rd or 4th night free on some deals.
Don't shoot me here (HoJo is a popular choice, good rate with MW discount and nice rooms), but for location I'd stay at Best Western Park Place Inn. I found the room clean, safe, comfortable, and it included a refrigerator. And...walk right across the street to the front gates. :) - Alicewhoareyou 2779.3 #60 7-26-12 8:01PMLike(6)Reply
HoJo is a popular place, never stayed there but everyone says its great. We have stayed several times at Anaheim Fairfield Inn. McDonald's is in front of it and Mimi's cafe is next to it. You walk to the corner, there's the entrance to Disneyland. On the 2nd floor is pizza hut too... - babebahn 207.3 #2026 7-26-12 8:03PMLike(1)Reply
All the Wyndham Brands are nice! They have a promo if you stay more than 2-3 days! I will say the HoJo, Ramada, Days Inn and Travelodge! I will go for Super 8 if you just really want a Bed, Shower and Storage! (They don't have a Microwave or Fridge, but you can ask for it I guess), Travelodge is nice but it is close to the Convention Center... Days Inn is average and they have a shuttle service from their area! HoJo is the MW choice for hotel, and i Love the Keurig Coffee Maker! Ramada Plaza is more expensive but they have full breakfast.... but all in all, i will go for Super 8 for Bed, shower and storage! - otilegna 2857.7 #57 8-16-12 5:44PMLikeReply
Also check out the actual hotels websites. I was looking on Expedia for a hotel for dapper day and found the hotel ménage for $99. Then looked on their page and found out if you advance purchase the room you get a great deal. $86. But you have to advance purchase it 14 days or more our and pay for it right then. And it is non cancel able. So check the actual hotel websites. I noticed that advance purchase can happen at 14 days at some hotels and at 21 days for others. Just do research! - ImAlwaysCrazy 674.5 #341 8-16-12 5:46PMLikeReply

You can get tickets only on getawaytoday.com. just click the ticket only tab at the top.
Do you get in free? If not I think you can usually buy tickets on base. And they are way cheaper there. Maybe your brother could buy them and then mail them to you. But I don't know if the base in Texas would have Disneyland tickets. I would help you if I could. - Flyingtoneverland 188.1 #2280 7-2-12 3:56PMLikeReply

We have bought the $99 military tickets multiple times so I can help you. When you buy the ticket on base they put the person that buys it(w/ ID) name on it. Then when going through the gate, they check for that person's ID. We have used these tickets 4 times as recently as 2 weeks ago and they have check that ID every time for the first use. Even last time, my sister was using it. My parents had bought the ticket with their retired ID so it had their last name, my sister showed her paper and her husband showed his active duty ID and they would not let them in. My parents had to walk back and show their ID with their last name. My husband(retired) bought for his family and had to show his ID on entrance. We bought for friends and same thing. We have only had to show ID initially, after that they never asked. - emnldsmom 370.1 #681 7-2-12 11:43PMLikeReply
