Wow! Amazing RAK! Please add me. My favorite moment in the park was when a CM blessed my daughter and her BFF, who were both celebrating their 16th birthdays, with a private Jungle Cruise. We got all the way to Trader Sam and the ride stalled. After sitting for 10 minutes listening to head hunter jokes, the CMs were instructed to return all boats to the dock in reverse so we got to do the Jungle Cruise backwards! We always stay at The Castle Inn. Usually find better rates through Getawaytoday. 3rd or 4th night free on some deals.
Don't shoot me here (HoJo is a popular choice, good rate with MW discount and nice rooms), but for location I'd stay at Best Western Park Place Inn. HoJo is a popular place, never stayed there but everyone says its great. We have stayed several times at Anaheim Fairfield Inn. McDonald's is in front of it and Mimi's cafe is next to it. All the Wyndham Brands are nice! They have a promo if you stay more than 2-3 days! I will say the HoJo, Ramada, Days Inn and Travelodge! I will go for Super 8 if you just really want a Bed, Shower and Storage! (They don't have a Microwave or Fridge, but you can ask for it I guess), Travelodge is nice but it is close to the Convention Center... Days Inn is average and they have a shuttle service from their area! HoJo is the MW choice for hotel, and i Love the Keurig Coffee Maker! Also check out the actual hotels websites. I was looking on Expedia for a hotel for dapper day and found the hotel ménage for $99. Then looked on their page and found out if you advance purchase the room you get a great deal. $86. But you have to advance purchase it 14 days or more our and pay for it right then. And it is non cancel able. So check the actual hotel websites. I noticed that advance purchase can happen at 14 days at some hotels and at 21 days for others. Do you get in free? If not I think you can usually buy tickets on base. And they are way cheaper there. Maybe your brother could buy them and then mail them to you. No. Disney has a special until September where a soldier or their spouse can buy a 3 day hopper for $99... i think it's like up to six per person or something, for family and friends. He should be able to get it on base somewhere from what I understand. And he could send it to me. Thing is, The first time we go in, someone with a military ID has to be there with us. We have bought the $99 military tickets multiple times so I can help you. When you buy the ticket on base they put the person that buys it(w/ ID) name on it. Then when going through the gate, they check for that person's ID. We have used these tickets 4 times as recently as 2 weeks ago and they have check that ID every time for the first use. Even last time, my sister was using it. My parents had bought the ticket with their retired ID so it had their last name, my sister showed her paper and her husband showed his active duty ID and they would not let them in. My parents had to walk back and show their ID with their last name. My husband(retired) bought for his family and had to show his ID on entrance. We bought for friends and same thing. The specific page on their website and the MWR have this all posted. In fact the MWR said the military member needs to be with the person for evey entry, but DL site does.
