My husband has been in the Air Force for 10 years as a weather forecaster. My dad was in the National Guard, my grandfather and my great uncle were in the Army Air Corp (my great uncle was shot down in WWII and was never found), and my great grandfather was in the army as a pharmacist. My grandfather was a tailgunner in the army during WWII. He was MIA/POW for some time but did return home. We lost him a year ago on June 4th on my grandma's birthday. I am so grateful Brooklynne got to meet him. He was so proud to hold her. I have pictures of them together and he has the biggest cheesiest smile I have ever seen. He did the best Donald Duck voice.
