A while back there was a private event that rented out the park after regular hours and had their own showing of the Remember! fireworks. I decided to stay a little longer to watch the show from Main Street. The entire crowd was in front of the castle, leaving Main Street completely empty. The music really booms and echos when there's nobody in the street. There is so much to do at Disneyland folks. These couple of closures aren't going to affect your visits oh so terribly. Would you rather be riding one of the Main Street vehicles and a wheel pop off like at Knotts. Or be stuck on a ride for three hours way up in the air, again at Knotts. Unfortunately, issues like this do happen. Many arriving guests will be upset due to 2 very popular rides being closed, but complaining wont make this situation move along any faster. I would rather support the Disney company in their efforts to make sure all safety issues are fixed rather than being afraid to ride the attraction due to the lack of safety. Just sit tight, guys. Disney is working on the problem to the best of their abilities. Glad to see SOC is opened again. I read the entire OSHA citation and SOC is not mentioned, only SM. Any idea what the violation on SOC was? 2013 - Big Thunder Rehab - Rumor - (5/10/12) According to one Screamscape source, salaried members of management at Disneyland were informed of the rumored plan to take Big Thunder Mountain down for an extensive rehab from January 2013 and reopen it in Summer 2013. Thank You for this update. It is soo good to hear that she is able to sit up for longer periods of time!! I can only imagine how Rachel felt when she was able to go outside for the first time and feel the warm sun, hear the sounds of birds and breathe the beautiful air. I pray for her continued improvement and strength. I also hope the family and Chris knows that we are praying for them as well. It takes a lot of faith and love to be by her side every day. God is watching over each one of you as well as the hospital staff that it tending to your needs.
