A reminder on how great Disney is! I went to that presale merchandise event but was real late and sick, I did not even get the door gifts. Today I received a mysterious box in the mail with DL's address! I opened it and there were my door gifts and I never even asked about them! I wanted the diamond so bad too! So a happy surprise day for me! - secretagentangel 13017.2 #9 7-15-15 3:10PMLike(27)Reply
I called Disneyland today to find out what parking lot was opening early. The cast member said the Simba lot will be open at 4am. - LarsonFamily07 93.4 #3907 7-13-15 4:02PMLike(4)Reply

So I'm planning our August trip, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to stay. We normally stay at one of the resort hotels, but the prices right now are crazy. I know a lot of people like the Howard Johnsons, but our kids are pr More...
What kind of price range and will you want to walk, park, or take a hotel shuttle? We love staying on property, but it is very expensive--can only do it once every few years. We stayed at Embassy Suites a few times when we first started visiting DL (2005, I think). We loved it--free breakfast and free happy hour (wine, beer, and a few simple drinks for adults, sodas and Shirley temples for kids, and popcorn for everyone). I stayed there as a teen with my parents and thought it was fun. But, it is not walking distance. We have used Priceline in recent years and been placed at Marriott Suites (on Harbor, not walking distance), Holiday Inn (by M&F parking, walking distance) and Red Lion (on Harbor, walking distance). All were clean and easy, but nothing special in terms of ambiance/experience. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 708.3 #330 6-16-15 2:44PMLike(1)Reply
We just got back and stayed at Springhill Suites on Ball Rd. Walked everyday, about a 15 minute walk. We loved this hotel and free breakfast. - dsnylvrlv 5.2 #20245 6-17-15 5:38PMLikeReply
We usually stay at Red Lion about a mile away, but easy walking. Breakfast buffet included with really good bacon. We've also stayed at Carousel Inn and Suites for convenience of being across from main gate. Have found both for less than $150 a night - duckymomo 51.2 #5100 6-17-15 5:43PMLikeReply
Has anyone had any issues with their Alex and Ani bracelet? My hubby bought one for my Anniversary gift the morning of the 24hr event last Friday and by Sunday was what appears to be tarnish.. I brought it back to the shop on Mainstreet a More...
Yeah I have over 30 and they all do that. I actually let them sit in ketchup for a few minutes and it makes them shiny again....although some people have said the ketchup method doesn't work for them. - luxkitty 5603.4 #27 5-29-15 2:49PMLikeReply
Funny. When my wife was looking at them, the promised her they wouldn't tarnish. You could also bring them back for free cleaning. Sounds like sales talk. - DLKenCA 3571.2 #50 5-29-15 2:52PMLikeReply
My Mother's Day gift finally arrived earlier this week!!
We got it online at Disney Store because the parks don't sell the shopper tote anymore in the sketch design. The make up bag was only $29 so I decided why not get it!! I love them both! - 1Princess3Princes 646.3 #367 6-5-15 2:32PMLike(2)Reply
