I could not see forum of wait times since before noon. Thought it was a cell issue but other online apps worked. 2 phones not working for us - charles10.5 #6592 12-16-12 9:04PMLike Reply
I'm planning to go to DL with the family in mid December.
We will be staying overnight one night.
I have credit card points I could use to stay at the Grand CA or other DL hotel but its a lot of points ($485/night is the rate). More...
The grand is GORGEOUS decorated for Christmas and the carolers sing by the tree at night. It's a wonderful way to end the night. However, you can still experience it and walk back to a cheaper hotel you just miss out on the maximum amount of magic. - cynDOLEwhip744.1 #137 10-29-12 1:56PMLike Reply
And Santa is in the lobby too. And Xmas music and the lights. It is magical. Our annual Xmas stay here used to be our Xmas gift to ourselves (well not last year and this year). We will miss it! - PrincessDuckie 585.6 #187 10-29-12 6:03PM
It is a pretty awesome place. If you can afford it it is worth it. - Eraf61264.6 #871 10-29-12 2:16PMLike Reply
Yes mouseprincess and MrsMears: I usually stay at for about $50 a night too that way I can stay two or three nights (about once a month) and still be able to dine nicely. - ShariRenee1505.2 #50 10-29-12 6:13PMLike Reply
Like others have said, we usually Priceline a hotel for $40-50 per night, but if we're going to splurge for a special occasion, it's to stay at the Grand. Yes, it's worth it (for us), but it takes budgeting and planning for months to make it happen. There's really nothing like being completely immersed in the Disney bubble, and having DCA literally in the Grand's backyard is truly a great experience. - Spoonful_O_Sugar435.8 #283 10-29-12 6:25PMLike Reply
I want to post pics but my iphone is older and doesnt do well between apps and the battery dies to fast. I cant even get the lounge to load on 3g. Hard enough to post ride times. My wife is posting all to fb she she killed her battery. I will perhaps do some post live uploads. Most of my shots are with a digital camera anyway so not able to insta-post.

So you can upgrade to annual at the time of purchase of the 3 day passes? - charles 10.5 #6592 7-26-12 11:10AM
Welcome!! Hope you enjoy your stay and time there! You'll enjoy the new additions to the parks and I agree you need an AP, it'll make u go often and easier to enjoy things without being rushed, plus discounts sure help - MarshaMouse2834.9 #15 7-26-12 11:09AMLike Reply
You can just go to the ticket booth and buy your Annual Pass there. It would be the same price as if you were upgrading your 3 day park hopper tickets and you'd get the discounts. Or if you can't pay all of it outright, you can set up payments. It's $80 down and then the first month's payment gets deducted the following day. The AP is definitely the way to go if you plan on visiting again! - SPandEvLover776.2 #123 7-26-12 11:24AMLike Reply
