Has anyone seen an Alice In Wonderland hoodie? I have three days to find one!
Forever 21 has a pullover, but not a hoodie. Not sure if you have to have a hood or not. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper324.3 #508 2-10-13 9:37AMLike Reply
Hi Everyone...Headed down in 24 hours from snowy BC. Is anyone swimming at their hotels? Also, does anyone know if Company D is worth an extra car rental day? ( I assume it's not walking distance from the DLH...
we were there a couple of days ago and quite a few people were using the pools at the resort - AZDizFan8.4 #7376 2-6-13 8:57AMLike(1) Reply
I think you should do it! 30% of showers on Friday, that usually means rain for us. - mrscttlemstr236.9 #1146 2-6-13 11:25AMLike(1) Reply
The weather is bipolar right now. Yesterday it was overcast, today it still kind of is but with the sun shining behind the clouds. Renting a car to go to Company D is only worth it if you're able to get in (by being a CM, knowing a CM, or having a pass to get in). - Jacqueline546.7 #206 2-6-13 8:58AMLike Reply
My husband is a CM...So then Yes?? Do it? - TanglewoodThicket 3.9 #14381 2-6-13 11:23AM
Just remember that Company D is closed on Tuesdays. If you want good deals on souvenirs, then go for it. - IDVandalSkipperCM 1299.2 #63 2-6-13 11:24AM
I'm assuming you know a cast member to get you in to company d. It's worth it if you are looking for Disney clothing and are a pin or vinylmation collector. Have fun! - JenInWonderland1025.1 #86 2-6-13 8:59AMLike Reply
My husband is a CM. Since we are up in Canada, thinking we won't get down again soon. Is it mostly pins, vinyls and clothes? - TanglewoodThicket 3.9 #14381 2-6-13 11:25AM
It's kind of a mish-mash of stuff. - IDVandalSkipperCM 1299.2 #63 2-6-13 11:33AM
Headed down on the 7th. Read through all the very awesome food reviews...But overwhelmed with the number of options. We need dinner for 6 nights with a 4 year old and squirmmy 1 year old. Can any parents name your top picks to take your k More...
Can't go wrong with a character meal or 2. The kids love them but they are pricey. Goofy's is our favorite. Big Thunder Ranch BBQ is a popular option because of the live characters and entertainment but that whole area is under construction so I can't guarantee it's open... There is rainforest cafe in DTD, I am not a fan of the food because there are better options for strictly food but the atmosphere is great. We like the booths at Carnation Cafe because we can lock squirmy kids between us to keep them from running off! If it's not too cold, we love grabbing dinner at the wharf in DCA, everyone can get just what they want and no worries if the kids are noisy and did I mention there's beer and margaritas? We don't have a lot of experience with most of the places in DTD, I like to stay in the parks in the offseason since hours are significantly shorter. We also love taking in snacks and pairing them with a corn dog or other quick option, even for dinner. All of the counter service places are usually quick, less expensive and filled with kids so you really can't go wrong there! - cynDOLEwhip744.1 #137 1-9-13 3:29PMLike(3) Reply
People swim all year while on vacation at the DLR...majority of pools are heated. I suggest Rainforest Cafe (hate the food and service but it has great ambiance), a character dining and maybe a few counter service places. - Linzee519.0 #225 1-9-13 3:33PMLike(1) Reply
For DTD. Rainforest (I agree with above opinions but little ones love it). ESPN is fairly loud so nobody will notice little ones. Lots of kids in Tortilla Joes too. I would not recommend Catal for kids. If you eat early at Steakhouse55 (DL Hotel) it is very good & people do bring kids but more subdued atmosphere. House of blues is fairly loud so that should be ok too. All menus available online. - ShariRenee1562.5 #51 1-9-13 4:08PMLike Reply
If you will be dining in DTD, I just want to suggest you try the beignets at the jazz kitchen (I personally think they're better than inside the park)...you can also request raspberry sauce with them :) - Mermaidmommy32.8 #4261 1-9-13 4:56PMLike Reply
Headed to the Park Feb 7th! Whoot! 2 quick questions...Do any of you know if there are any other choices aside from the Princess hair boutique...like maybe a Pirate dress up? My 4 year daughter is not into hair and makeup, but likes to dr More...
I remember reading the "Pirate League" was only until Nov 1 but you can try calling the Disney reservation line to see if they still have it somewhere 714-781-STYLE. - Polkadobo372.1 #372 1-3-13 10:01AMLike(1) Reply
During the Halloween season, they had a pirate's league where you could be turned into a pirate. My daughter loved it! You get assigned a pirate name, get a cutlass, eye patch, earing(clip on) and a few other treasures. and it costs less than the BBB - GoofyMom77109.0 #2926 1-3-13 9:55AMLike Reply
the PL was contigent on popularity. If it was a hit, Disney was going to find a permantant home for it. - GoofyMom77 109.0 #2926 1-3-13 10:18AM
The Pirate League closed. I haven't seen it in months. - LilSterner 2656.0 #19 1-3-13 12:30PM
The Pirates League was a trial run during the Halloween season. Not sure if its coming back, but the BBB is the only option right now for that kind of thing - BaseballMickey_CM2863.8 #16 1-3-13 12:57PMLike Reply
Not true! There's that studio 365 (I think that's what it's called) in downtown disney, they do "pop star" makeovers. 😉 - bluefairy 627.4 #174 1-3-13 1:26PM
True, but that's outside the park - BaseballMickey_CM 2863.8 #16 1-3-13 1:30PM
If you're staying on property I believe that you can have things delivered to your room prior to your arrival for a surprise. Try calling and ask. - LilSterner2656.0 #19 1-3-13 4:50PMLike Reply
Looks like our upcoming DL trip may be changed from Oct to Jan (boo) do to hubby 's (who's a CM) travel schedule...Can anyone say what their thoughts are of the park in this month? Rain? busy? slow? Thanks!
me 1980 ;)
I'm gonna go with slow and rainy. And pack the Airborne! - SueBayou2012.0 #34 8-9-12 7:57PMLike Reply
really? Rainy? darn! does it get cold enough for jackets? Airborne? lol - TanglewoodThicket 3.9 #14381 8-9-12 8:03PM
I don't want to scare you. Our weather is hit or miss. But January is usually cold. At least after the sun goes down. In the day dress in layers. It's a great time of year at the park. Lots of people have colds that time of year and I swear by Airborne. Take it before going in every morning. It's Disney. You will have a blast. - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 8-9-12 8:28PM
That's such a random pictute to go with your question..... It's hard to say. Jan is winter, so you'd expect cold and rainy, but when I was there in Jan, it was 85 and sunny. My advice, keep an eye on the weather reports and plan accordingly. Either way, it's DL, you're bound to have a blast! - DisneyFanZoe1099.1 #75 8-9-12 8:18PMLike Reply
Haha! I know! I just figured I have no live pictures being in Canada...That was me after my very first DL trip when I was 2...I still have a few memories of it too ;) - TanglewoodThicket 3.9 #14381 8-9-12 10:19PM
Coming to DL for the first time 12 years! Can any Fellow Alice fans tell me if there is a variety of merchandise these days? I was sad in 2000 that it was hard to get a hold of.
Bought my daughter the Tea Press, great canister of tea and a tea cup with saucer. At the Emporium on Main Street on Thursday - My_HappyPlace65.6 #3491 8-8-12 9:15PMLike Reply
My first post: Where is the best place in DL to get Alice In Wonderland merch? October can't come soon enough!

The Halloween ticket is worth it! Haven't been in 2 years, but went 2 years in a row before that. We are going again this year. - IBelieveInFairies277.9 #749 8-7-12 9:22AMLike Reply
Do a lot of adults dress up? Is the trick or treats pretty easy to get for smaller kids? Thanks for the response! ;) - TanglewoodThicket 3.9 #14381 8-7-12 1:12PM
