I had a young boy in line for food come up eyeing my Pluto construction pin. I had to sadly tell him I don't trade, I just collect. He still didn't want to take no for an answer, searching thru his pin book for another Pluto pin to trade. Luckily he had none, I still don't think I would have traded with him. That particular pin was a gift, but I did still feel really bad. I am glad that I'm not the only one who has had an experience like this and felt bad. But like you said, some pins have special meaning for whatever reason. Some were gifts, some represent a memorable visit, and some I just love and they might not be available anymore. But I still felt bad. I will definitely get more traders just to have handy.
