My first meetup was the birthday bash at the grand and my hands were shakey and nervous, even though at time I already met disneyRose and uscdisneyteacher I was beyond nervous. I checked in and recognize so many faces. I swallowed my fear and sat down and starting talking to ivegotnostrings and marina and Hollygolliath and her daughter. My hands were clammy still and I still felt uncomfortable but I decided I needed to introduce myself to more faces I recognized like Dave, h3d Sue, BooEve and everyone I admired and always wanted to meet. That night there was MWers everywhere, they would join to be one group, then separate into small groups. Laughter came easy, and everyone felt as if I've known them forever. I lost track of time and you end up closing the park and not even notice it. That was one of the best day/night I ever had. 99% of everyone I met that day I am still so close with and I love dearly. It was a scary time and I still was nervous at other meet ups but before I knew it, I felt everyone like a family and I couldn't wait to see them again. My first meetup was at Trader Sam's this past May, I was so nervous. I was intimidated to walk up to the group but was happy that I did. I met Willierose, Cara, Bambi, the Evils, Madsdad and some other awesome peeps. My 1st meetup was Leap Day at the AstroBlasters, that was hosted by VFX. Soooo many MW'rs. I was shy but introduced myself to SueBayou and she was very sweet and welcoming amongst all the chaos. I met CaraMiaPooh and Sparrow, MelB, Fredo and Alex and a several others. Had run ins at the park that week with several MW'rs and everyone was very, VERY nice! I wish I live closer so I could attend more and get to know everyone better. There are many I would still love to meet. You'll fit right in! Thank you for posting this PrincessLaShell! I am also new here and when I started seeing posts and pictures about meet ups it made me nervous! Don't get me wrong I love making new friends but it is hard to go up to someone you don't know and say hello. At least it is for me LOL!! So hearing everyone's stories made me feel a lot better about it and I see that I am not the only one feeling nervous. I don't know when I will be ready to go to a meet up or even able to make it to one but I will definitely try :-) Thank you everyone for your stories. Yes the outlet is at las americas premium outlet which is literally on the border.... this outlet had lots of good deals ...think anyone who wants to do some christmas shopping and is close to this should go!
