There are two separate things to consider here... The lagoon is an icon at DL, even when the original attraction closed the lagoon stayed in view. It has historic value... at the time of opening Walt was a commander of one of the worlds largest fleet of submarines. Taking the lagoon out would be like removing the Matterhorn or castle. Unfortunately the Autopia does not afford the same status and iconic recognition! Although Disney might discover that taking the autopia out would be like taking an icon. I didn't mind the buses. We stayed at Pop Century mainly because they have their own routes to and from each park. That way, when you're ready to go "home" to nap or swim or call it a day, there's no stopping at other resorts along the way. Glad you had a great time! I'll be at DLR this weekend, too. This is WDW Tower of Terror. It is different & actually more exciting. Car leaves elevator shaft & seems like more drops.

Would definitely not go today unless you want to brave huge crowds. I've never seen the entry plaza so crowded. This was at 10-11 when we went over to DTD. Plus tons of people in line buying tickets. I got it correct side this time. We didn't sneak in. We won the Annual Passholder viewing. First time we ever won any Passholder event & we have 4 passes in family. It was great.
