Sorry every time I try to comment my phone rings. The Tenderloin is a not so nice part of SF. If you stay in the streets in front of the St. Francis Hotel and Macys should be ok. You do not want to wander around at night in the Tenderloin. Your hotel can give you the areas to avoid. Just like any big city be aware of your surroundings. Have a great trip. Actually, I read something on the air a few years ago that said New York had the worst drivers. And places that get a lot of snow have bad drivers. And the study showed that bad drivers in California are non residents.
And did you know that cars with stick shifts are involved in more accidents and the drivers with a stick tend to be the cause of the accident?
