Throwback Thursday: Rainbow Ridge pack mule ride, ran 1955-1973. replaced by Big Thunder Mountain.
I remember this attraction from when I was a youngster. This is a real clear photo. Thanks for sharing. - grumpypapa554.8 #207 6-6-13 4:29PMLike(1) Reply
Throw back Thursday: The year "1995", Top picture is of my son's Michael and Christopher with Character from the "Lion King". bottom pic is my son Christopher and myself with Mickey in Toon Town. Time flys by so fast.
These are two great pics and we really should capture all those special moments with our children. - 1angelfan64.4 #3554 6-6-13 3:41PMLike Reply
Hello fellow MW's, I am asking you for some help. My 9 year old nephew from Menefee wants to go to Disney for his B Day. Disneyland on Wednesday and DCA on Thursday. I was wondering if you could give us some tips and ideas to make this a More...
Reservations at The Blue Bayou for lunch or dinner. You could even make it a surprise. Go on potc first, and point over and say that's where we are going to go eat. - Tom4013.7 #7 5-20-13 12:18PMLike(1) Reply
Get a birthday button, and CMs will say Happy Birthday to him around the Parks and he'll feel extra special. Then go to any attraction he wants to go on. - LaTruce1826.2 #44 5-20-13 12:32PMLike(1) Reply
Any birthday at Disneyland is wonderful. Mostly do the things that he would love. - momof3cuties986.5 #8745 5-20-13 12:37PMLike Reply
Do character greetings. Do classic ones for a young man. When he goes on the rides, take a picture of his reaction at the loops or drops instead of buying the pictures. I've always wanted to do that. Be at DCA early for toy story mania & radio springs racers. These two rides throughout the day get longer and longer. Hope this helps. - oceanfan9048.0 #3859 5-20-13 4:05PMLike Reply

The twirling gadget that is up there now with all the different antennas and such is actually built on the old Astro Jet ride mechanism. - garrlusdland52.3 #3761 5-16-13 4:50PMLike Reply

Flash back Thursday: Disney monorail. We should have these all over town, cut down on traffic.
Actually that's the viewliner 😊 It was around before the monorail. It opened June 26, 1957.
Closed, September 15, 1958. Great picture though! - Duchess_SMK3528.3 #10 5-2-13 5:07PMLike(2) Reply
Wow you're good. It had a short life. Poor Viewliner. Maybe it's because everyone hung out the windows. - Westcoast 77.3 #3361 5-2-13 6:26PM
Throw Back Thursday: Ok..so this may be showing my age, but here it goes. My Grad Nite was 1988, how about you?
I didn't live in Cali at the time, (although I am a native born Californian), but don't feel bad about the year @lpreeder68 because mine would have been in 1987! - DisneyDavidEMT456.9 #270 4-25-13 7:46PMLike(2) Reply

Throw Back Thursday: how many people would like to see The People Mover ride come back?
We should petition DL to bring it back. It's just wasted space and everyone seemed to live it. I wonder if this was an evil ploy by CAL OSHA. - 1angelfan64.4 #3554 4-18-13 5:52PMLike(1) Reply
*raises hand* We go on it as many times as we can when we are at WDW. Every time we are at DL my son looks at the track and says they need to bring it back. - Lelundrial344.9 #436 4-18-13 9:21AMLike Reply
Flash back Thursday :How many of MW peeps remember the photo film booths? How much longer do you think this booth will actually stay standing?
As of yesterday that I saw, it is not longer in use. They had a cotton candy/drinks vendor right in front of it instead. - BaseballMickey_CM2992.9 #15 4-4-13 12:39PMLike Reply
Going to Disneyland on Easter Sunday. Dors anyone know if it gets super crowded? I just want to have a plan of action.
I saw a post a few days ago that someone said they have been to the parks and it wasn't too crowded but there have been a lot of people recently - Cinderellaaa72.3 #3433 3-29-13 6:56PMLike(1) Reply

Watch them while you can! Don't forget that April 7th is their last day! The girl in the pink on the far right always gives me the chills when she does the solo in Stars and Stripes Forever. - IDVandalSkipperCM1326.2 #61 3-24-13 1:31PMLike(1) Reply

Yeah, we all thought they were here until September and didn't realize that it had changed. I won't get to listen to them sing live unless I go to WDW! Hope you get to hear them before they leave! - IDVandalSkipperCM 1326.2 #61 3-24-13 3:01PM
This was always the first ride we'd go on, mainly because it was almost always a walkon. After this, we'd head straight for the Peoplemover. - Grindcore330.7 #485 3-21-13 5:59PMLike(1) Reply
This was my FAVORITE ride as a kid!!! I loved standing in line and watching everyone shrink when they went through the microscope. I couldn't wait to get shrunk!!!!! - caramiapoohAKAface1526.8 #53 3-21-13 9:27PMLike Reply
That's a great pin :) I had it on my lanyard a few trips back ... And a very sweet mini of maybe 5 years old asked to trade for it . I didn't wanna let it go , but she was so precious I of course traded her :) I know it has a good home ;) lol - eviljules284.9 #717 3-1-13 6:08PMLike(3) Reply

Yes, you get them in Cars Land at California Adventure. The cast members walking around have them or I have even walked into the store next to Radiator Springs and asked the cashier for one. NO COST. - lpreeder6839.6 #4077 2-16-13 1:27PMLike Reply
I've been on it twice (twice too many) and both times felt like I was gonna go flying off....and a little to big to be held in by that little bar that slides up and down...😱 - DisneyDavidEMT456.9 #270 2-15-13 10:06PMLike Reply
