My sister did the upgrade thing, and basically she paid the difference between her current pass, and the one she was upgrading to, and she continued to pay her original monthly payment for the rest of the year. Now, I don't know if that is the standard operating procedure, or if you could upgrade and just pay the higher monthly payment. Not recently, but I went to Mazatlan for my senior trip in 2000. Even then, it was...weird. I wouldn't recommend walking around by yourself, or even in pairs. Stick to groups of three or four or more if you can. And I would encourage you- if you drink- to not get smashed. People like take advantage of drunk people down there, financially or otherwise. Its mega non filtered turbo suck. If anyone needs any assistance please do not hesitate to ask. Also if they have Medicare benefits I maybe able to assist with home health nursing if it's a need. Just putting it out there. Please also realize the Role if the caregiver will almost always fall upon the reliable member of the family. And the caregiver suffers the most. Don't mean to be rude. @michelle - Disney recommends you call them to book a tour in advance to avoid being disappointed if they are sold out. That number is (714) 781-4400. If you want to wait and just chance it, the area to book a tour is just to the left after passing through the left tunnel once you enter Disneyland.
