I have been a public school teacher for 22 years. Your stories do not surprise me. I witness this behavior from teens (and their parents) almost every day. DisneyLand is not immune from the ills os society, sadly.
I like stories. And drawereings - Butterlina1307.4 #61 4-14-11 10:43AMLike Reply
MouseWait Poll: My wife and I will be at Sea World and the San Diego Zoo next weekend. What are the statistical odds that you would be on the DisneyLand MouseWait Lounge and scope out Disney line wait times if YOU were at Se More...
I was at the Zoo on Tuesday, and yes I was on MW :). I was checking crowds for a Thursday trip. - MoonWillow367.4 #378 4-10-11 7:04PMLike Reply

Triple HD's post prompted the following question from my wife: Why do normally reasonable, well-educated parents submit their children to napless 12 hour days at Disneyland, then act surprised when their child has a screaming meltdown on More...
I agree. Just like adults they get tired especially running around the park all day. I am an AP holder so when we go, I try to stay about 5-6 hours depending on the events or holidays. I know a lot of people that live out of state don't have the same luxury but if you are planning on having a long day at Disneyland, just remember it's a lot for the little ones. Between the crowds and sometimes over stimulation for the small ones. It does take some extra patience from the parents for them on those busy days. My child is 8 so its getting a little easier. But I do make sure we try and sit down for some rest and have a snack. Sometimes that can make a difference. - kbeenss181.5 #1844 3-20-11 12:30PMLike Reply
My theory is that it happens when te family involved feels the expense of the trip and is trying to "get their money's worth". APs don't feel the same pressure to cram so much into one day. - cenicienta323.8 #506 3-20-11 12:37PMLike Reply
I agree. We are heading down from Seattle in 4 weeks for their first DL trip. We are taking 3 days at the park. We will go slow, use are fastpasses and if we don't get on everything, no worries here :). Just going to take out time and soak up all of the kids happiness. Their growing so fast, no need for stress at the most wonderful place on earth :) - jeana12118012.2 #6174 3-20-11 12:54PMLike Reply
When we go to DL we always go for a few days so we don't feel rushed. When my daughter starts getting fussy we head back to the hotel for a nap or little break. I'd rather take things slow & have a happy child than be miserable trying to do too much. - VikkiMouse182.2 #1833 3-20-11 1:03PMLike Reply
A shout out to RadioMaverick: I just watched a bunch of your YouTube videos. They are fantastic! Congratulations on your great videos and thanks for sharing! I encourage all MouseWaiters to watch!
THANK YOU to all CAST MEMBERS who worked this weekend. My wife and I enjoyed our visit, mainly due to the awesome service of cast members at restaurants and in the parks. Even though the parks were packed, the cast members were energetic More...

I totally agree. Yesterday the woman who played cinderella was so incredibly sweet to my daughter, she danced with her and then saw us taking a picture by the sign that says, "and they lived happily ever after.." and asked if she could join our picture. My daughter was estatic! So sweet - Queenof2princesses254.7 #963 10-11-10 12:17PMLike Reply
Neener, neener, Dave! I eat them even though I am allergic to pineapple, there probably isn't that much real pineapple in them! I never get the floats, though. My bff was in Anaheim for a convention a few years ago. She was sad she couldn't go in to the parks. We were meeting up for dinner and I went in just to get her one and rushed over before it melted. - bluefairy627.0 #174 10-10-10 8:45PMLike Reply

This spot is good for remember becaUse they light some fireworks off in Tomorrow Land and off the main street shop roofs. - armywife-disneylover0.3 #56319 10-10-10 8:16AMLike Reply
Thank you to everyone for the excellent photos and updates from last night. The Yeti and Buzz Lightyear costumes were outstanding, and the yellow spider was just plain scary. What time were the fireworks last night? 9:00? 9:30? Thanks.

That's a good question! I don't know that I have seen a sechdual for the party yet. I know they start soon, so maybe then we can start getting an idea of what happens and when. - Sweet_Irish_Cream2528.6 #23 9-30-10 6:53AMLike Reply

Good luck to all of you participating in the Half-Marathon tomorrow. I ran it last year and it was a blast. I enjoyed going through the two parks, but passing through Angels Stadium was my favorite part.
