Thinking about having breakfast tomorrow at the parks. Besides the character breakfasts, where the best place to eat? & what to have?
Tomorrowland has pretty good breakfast burritos. - Chumash28764.0 #130 6-28-12 1:04AMLike(1) Reply
I love the River Belle because the food is good and you can enjoy the view of the Rivers of America if you sit outside. - PrincessLeia263.4 #886 6-28-12 6:53AMLike(1) Reply

Hi all! Today was fun at the DLR. Being handicapped does have its perks, but I still don't feel the same. It's like I'm watching everyone around me walk & enjoy & explore. And I wheel around... Honestly don't know what a blessing it is to More...

Another way to get a scooter is to rent one from an off-site company. We did that for my mother last March, and it was AWESOME. She was able to drive it to/from DL and our hotel, we didn't have to stand in line to get one, and it was much less expensive. We went through Mobility Source in San Diego. They delivered the scooter to our hotel before we arrived, and picked it up after we checked out. I think it was about $100 for three days of use. The scooter was nearly new, and was in fantastic shape. - jmgphx322.7 #512 6-22-12 8:35AMLike(1) Reply

I'd like to say Thank You to all the great advice I received on my last post about being disabled. I really hope I'm able to bend my knee enough to get on/in a ride!! I'm at almost a 70 degree angle in pain, I'm guessing ill be able to pu More...
no way on the matterhorn. You have to be able to get out from a cannonball position. I rode it yesterday with my knees to my chin in the front seat. The back and middle seats have about 2 extra inches....time to get into some serious low cal meal plans. - Plumiegirl3345.9 #10 6-21-12 11:32AMLike Reply
I'd like to get your opinion on my trip next week! I'm not new here (I just don't post a lot) and being disabled is new to me. I am going next week for two days, I am going to get an electric scooter. Does anyone know if they run out quic More...
They don't usually run out of ecv's early, later in the day yes they have run out.
You don't need a special paper since CM's can see you need special boarding assistance.
Be prepared to bring your patience, people will jump in front of your chair like you aren't even there.
Every attraction at DCA is accessible meaning you wait in line sitting in your chair.
Bring your crutches with you.
*my husband had torn Achilles and we survived a week at the parks, take your time and enjoy!! Oh and ignore the looks you might get when getting on some rides, what those people don't understand is sometimes you will wait even longer then them because only a certain number of special assistance riders are allowed on at a time. - Linzee517.4 #225 6-19-12 9:56AMLike(3) Reply
Ok. Thank you. Ive been reading on a few other posts, that I'm supposed to go through FP line on RSR. But honestly I don't even know if I'm going to be able to ride this at all. Is it jerky? I know SM - theKASIENTE 8.0 #7558 6-19-12 10:11AM
Hi...I forgot to add always ask a CM if you have any boarding questions or concerns, they are *amazing* and deal with special circumstance people daily. Enjoy your trip!! - Linzee 517.4 #225 6-19-12 10:59AM
I spent 18 months in a wheel chair after three reconstructive surgeries. We would go to Disneyland Resorts and a few times they would be out of the electric scooters as early as noon and we would have to go with a wheel chair instead which was more difficult in a crowded area. You should make sure you get a Guest Assistance Pass at City Hall. When I couldn't go on rides I would bring a book, hunt for hidden Mickey's, look at the detail and artistry of the landscape, and people watch. DCA is much easier to get around in but you can have a great time and discover some hidden rides that you may overlook. - butternard26.1 #4582 6-19-12 1:07PMLike Reply
There is at least one hotel across from Disneyland (On Harbor) that rents electric vehicle carts. I dont know the prices but it seems easy to cross from there and enter the park just not sure where you would park your vehicle. If I find out more info I will post more. - PyraLynne3.1 #24722 6-19-12 2:59PMLike Reply

Possibly thinking of going for fathers day. Never been on a holiday like this. Do you think it will be crowded? Any previous experiences?
I'm sure it will be. School is out plus it's a weekend. - Nyghtngale547.8 #204 6-1-12 12:13AMLike(1) Reply

If you get there early to get some Fastpasses and don't mind the crowds, it should be fun. Make a reservation somewhere fun to eat now so you can at least get a meal and a few rides in. - LaneSparrow316846.9 #108 6-1-12 8:41AMLike Reply
Everyday from approx. a week ago will be crowded, every weekend day will be very crowded, and every holiday and from June 15th will be capacity crowded. Read Rules-Faqs and look at the crowd index scale and it will tell you how crowded the parks are throughout the year. - splashphotoCM880.9 #101 6-1-12 8:47AMLike Reply

Tuesday is usually quiet. If you want to see the princesses, highly recommend the Princess Fairy Faire in Fantasyland. Go to it as early as possible because the lines get long. Ask a CM there to see which princesses will be there that day. - BaseballMickey_CM2859.4 #16 11-4-11 11:20AMLike Reply
