His "Wish" was to swim with dolphins. So the Sacramento Chapter is who made this happen. It was amazing what the contributions of people to the family was given! First they threw him a little party at his favorite resturant Applebees, where they loaded him up with waterproof disposable cameras, an mp3 player for him and all his siblings to occupy their time while on the plane along with backpacks loaded with activity stuff and ofcourse lots of MakeAWish tshirts and hats for him..they decided that he must go to Florida to swim with the Dolphins at Discovery Cove where he could learn about them as well as swim with them-they flew the whole family out to florida, paid for rental cars for both families(since it was a split home) paid for tickets to the amusement parks(Discovery Cove, SeaWorld and Aquatica)paid for all the food and made sure there was money for souveniers along with all the photos taken at the parks by their photographers and they made sure everyone that was part of his life was offered the opportunity to go including Grandparents and step-siblings..they are an amazing organization which ofcourse couldnt happen without donations.I highly recommend anyone that has the opportunity to have a Wish granted to anyone in their family to do so..it takes the stress away if even for 1 week...he still talks about it and it was 3 years ago. - yellowtonka   241.4 #1330 10-27-11 10:26AM Like  Reply

Our winter weather has been sooo outta wack these past couple of years. Best for planning: assume it'll be a warmer autumn day but bring some clothes she can wear under her dresses as the day gets colder. I wear my socks folded down, a short sleeve shirt and pack a long sleeve under shirt and jacket. When I statrt feeling chilly, I pull up my socks, then a few hrs later, I need the under shirt, and a few hrs before park closing I need the jacket. Mine has gone in her princess dresses but she is 4 so I let her decide. Plus no matter if she really wants to take a dress along we can do it and she always wheres her clothes under it so easy change. I'm right now trying to find a way to make it so her ballet costume from her recital can be changed so it is more a dress since it is Belle's yellow dress. Its just the bottom is all netted under it in white then the yellow is see thru. It would have to be pulled off to use the potty. I want to some how get a skirt under it. She really wants to where that to the parks. Oh and btw, when she picks a shirt out its always something Disney. Last time it was her I heart my hair with Rapunzel on it. Before that was a Minnie one. She loves her skirts so she has that or a skort on. Always as much pink as can be too. - TheRealEvilQueen   25.1 #5655 7-5-11 11:23PM Like  Reply
My daughter is 6 and prefers to be comfortable. She likes Disney t-shirts and pants or shorts and tennis shoes when we go. I used to bring a costume in case she wanted to dress up and she wore them a few times for a limited amount of time, but she found the costumes a bit scratchy and would rather save them for dress-up at home. Comfortable shoes are a must, no matter what, though. I see so many little girls in all their finery, complaining and miserable because their princess shoes just aren't practical. - MoonWillow   380.9 #508 7-5-11 11:23PM Like  Reply

So tell me about the Lilly Bell. How do we get tickets to ride it? Does it go on the same track as the normal trains around the park? Thanks
Same track. You just ask a CM at the Main Street station if you can get a reservation and they'll let you know what times are available. FYI, it doesn't run when it's raining - LBChica   2008.5 #58 4-9-11 3:32PM Like  Reply
Thanks I'm gonna try to ride it this time. I think the kids will love it. - Mrstefer   116.6 #3101 4-9-11 3:33PM Like  Reply

How busy do you think it will be the first week of May. Last year we went the third week of April and it was crazy. I have checked a couple crown index sights and it is saying pretty low. I do not think any schools will be out by then. Wh  More...
Any idea's?? I see it is shorter hours so I an hoping this is a sign of lower crowds. - Mrstefer   116.6 #3101 3-16-11 2:36PM Like  Reply
I think it should be slow since spring breaks are over and my friends that are teacher say they do testing in may so parents will not take their kids out of school then since it is important they be there for that so I think you are good. We are going the weekend after mothers day and hoping its still light since schools get out the next month - brodysmommy   335.6 #626 3-16-11 2:38PM Like  Reply
We have been to Disneyland twice, both times in May. The crowds were light, and the weather was beautiful. May is my preferred time for a trip. - clrkcynd   128.6 #2882 3-16-11 2:41PM Like  Reply
I have a kindergarten and a 1st grader and their teachers where fine with them going. I made sure they wouldn't miss anything big. Our last three trips have been crazy busy so we are hoping for a little slower this time. I guess we will see. - Mrstefer   116.6 #3101 3-16-11 2:41PM Like  Reply

How is the crowds at the Halloween party on Friday. We will be there Friday and I'm hoping it's not to crazy.
When I was getting kicked out at 7. It looked pretty busy! (wasn't staying for the party) - Duchess_SMK   5627.4 #14 10-16-10 8:52AM Like  Reply

Do they close the rides on rainy days bit looks like there is a 60 percent chance of rain on one of the days we are there.
Most of the rides stay open since they are indoors. The only rides that close during the rain are Pooh, Alice, Casey Jr., and the teacups. - BaseballMickey_CM   6041.3 #12 10-15-10 2:06PM Like  Reply
