His "Wish" was to swim with dolphins. So the Sacramento Chapter is who made this happen. It was amazing what the contributions of people to the family was given! First they threw him a little party at his favorite resturant Applebees, where they loaded him up with waterproof disposable cameras, an mp3 player for him and all his siblings to occupy their time while on the plane along with backpacks loaded with activity stuff and ofcourse lots of MakeAWish tshirts and hats for him..they decided that he must go to Florida to swim with the Dolphins at Discovery Cove where he could learn about them as well as swim with them-they flew the whole family out to florida, paid for rental cars for both families(since it was a split home) paid for tickets to the amusement parks(Discovery Cove, SeaWorld and Aquatica)paid for all the food and made sure there was money for souveniers along with all the photos taken at the parks by their photographers and they made sure everyone that was part of his life was offered the opportunity to go including Grandparents and step-siblings..they are an amazing organization which ofcourse couldnt happen without donations.I highly recommend anyone that has the opportunity to have a Wish granted to anyone in their family to do so..it takes the stress away if even for 1 week...he still talks about it and it was 3 years ago. - yellowtonka237.7 #1135 10-27-11 10:26AMLike Reply

Our winter weather has been sooo outta wack these past couple of years. Best for planning: assume it'll be a warmer autumn day but bring some clothes she can wear under her dresses as the day gets colder. I wear my socks folded down, a short sleeve shirt and pack a long sleeve under shirt and jacket. When I statrt feeling chilly, I pull up my socks, then a few hrs later, I need the under shirt, and a few hrs before park closing I need the jacket. Just like scheduling your meals and rides, you should schedule your wardrobe. - mandigutterrose156.4 #2203 10-13-11 4:27PMLike Reply

Being able to not take a stroller is great in some ways (less to pack) and we used ours until the kids were 6. But I will agree that they are great to have to put snacks and purchases and autograph books. Now all that goes in a backpack on my back! - chuswo279.1 #735 10-16-11 12:08PMLike Reply

Mine has gone in her princess dresses but she is 4 so I let her decide. Plus no matter if she really wants to take a dress along we can do it and she always wheres her clothes under it so easy change. I'm right now trying to find a way to make it so her ballet costume from her recital can be changed so it is more a dress since it is Belle's yellow dress. Its just the bottom is all netted under it in white then the yellow is see thru. It would have to be pulled off to use the potty. I want to some how get a skirt under it. She really wants to where that to the parks. Oh and btw, when she picks a shirt out its always something Disney. Last time it was her I heart my hair with Rapunzel on it. Before that was a Minnie one. She loves her skirts so she has that or a skort on. Always as much pink as can be too. - TheRealEvilQueen24.4 #4703 7-5-11 11:23PMLike Reply
My daughter is 6 and prefers to be comfortable. She likes Disney t-shirts and pants or shorts and tennis shoes when we go. I used to bring a costume in case she wanted to dress up and she wore them a few times for a limited amount of time, but she found the costumes a bit scratchy and would rather save them for dress-up at home. Comfortable shoes are a must, no matter what, though. I see so many little girls in all their finery, complaining and miserable because their princess shoes just aren't practical. - MoonWillow367.6 #377 7-5-11 11:23PMLike Reply
