I think both days might be busy, but if I had to pick the best one to go to, I'd say Dec. 24. Most people have plans with family or other plans on Christmas Eve. Are they really hitting you or just doing something they don't realize they are doing? I find if you talk to them, like ask them "Are you excited to ride this attraction?", they usually stop what they are doing and are so shocked an adult is talking to them, they'll turn back to their parents. They didn't actually use the word "show," so it could cause confusion. They were interviewing the author of "The Disney Encyclopedia," and he was talking about hidden Mickeys and other small details of the park. Once he mentioned where the various tombstones were (like the HM pet cemetery) then I realized they weren't talking about real graveyards. I went a couple years ago. It was crowded but not terrible. When it got closer to midnight we went to the hub, it was a huge dance party! It was so much fun!!
