My name is Patrick or PK as people call
me. I treasure everything Disney in my heart and am passionate about everything related to it. Deluxe AP holder. 20 years old. I am a singer and pianist who is glad to be part of it all.
What is the most under rated Disney song? I was playing at a concert today and nobody knew two songs I played. 'When Somebody Loved Me' from Toy Story 2 and 'I'll Try' from Peter Pan 2.
I'm a little surprised about Toy Story 2. - HiddenMickeys216.4 #1396 1-9-11 9:54PMLike Reply
I think there is usually a buy 3 night get 2 free type thing but I don't do DL summers so not positive on that. - CravingDisney150.1 #2289 1-6-11 8:06PMLike Reply
Was about to book Grand Californian Hotel for May but have heard a lot of complaints about theme park view. I heard many of the rooms are tree view instead of theme park. Is it true?
The view is only 15% of the experience staying at the Grand. - HotDiggityDogDaddy1112.0 #74 1-1-11 11:12AMLike Reply
Stayed there a few times it's NICE!!! but your right about the trees - R8Rjose141.6 #2416 1-1-11 11:20AMLike Reply
i think paradise pier is better for park view since it's higher up and, true, no trees in the way. - paigito27.2 #4502 1-1-11 5:39PMLike Reply
It's amazing what can be done if you ask. My husband and I went once and our view was trees, an access road and the backside of Soarin'. We called the front desk and they changed our room for us. We got a really nice park view and were able to see part of World of color. I prefer the DTD view, and the sliding door blocks out a lot of the noise. We've had rooms right over the entrance to DTD too - CaliCanuck511.7 #229 1-1-11 5:48PMLike Reply
I want to stay at Grand Californian next summer so early May. Do they usually run a promotion then or any ideas to stay cheaper?
I think they give discounts in the off seasons to APs or you can try AAA they normally have good deals if you book early - Yeti_Man476.1 #250 12-20-10 6:24PMLike Reply
They have a promo right now - book early bc there are limited rooms - I was looking at April and it was a little over $200 a night. No promo code or anything special needed. - SnowW13222.6 #1321 12-20-10 6:31PMLike Reply
Yep - pretty awesome! It was only $12 more a night than PP!! It seems like the rates change almost daily - so just check it out often! Don't forget rates are often different nearly every weekend - they'll only offer the "cheap" rate for a certain number of rooms. Play around with date and good luck!! - SnowW13222.6 #1321 12-20-10 6:58PMLike Reply
The promo only runs through April and AP discount is still only 10%. will more show up later? - TheUser18.9 #5171 12-20-10 10:05PMLike Reply
I know this might have been posted here but I need a gift idea for my girlfriend. Please help! She is a huge Disney and Disneyland fan. Loved World of Color among others. I want it to be something very special. Please help!
One of those digital photo frames with memorable Disneyland pictures of your trips. - CrashIntoMe53.4 #3685 12-18-10 10:24PMLike Reply
Strangely enough, Knotts carries a lot of really nice Disney related merchandise, you might look there for something special - TinkPen428.4 #292 12-18-10 10:27PMLike Reply
Quick WOC question! What's a better value? The dining at restaurant or picnic?
I've had both, and they're both good, but I think the better value is with the picnic - TinkPen428.4 #292 11-26-10 8:51PMLike Reply
It probably depends on who is enjoying the experience. Boyfriend and I did Ariel's Grotto and loved our dinner and Preferred Viewing. The picnic passes are comparable to the FPs distributed in the morning. I think if you have kid the dining could get expensive. Check out the WOC tab to see what others thought of the picnic option! - cenicienta323.8 #506 11-26-10 8:53PMLike Reply
I thought the picnic was a great deal. The food was good and I didn't have to rush to get a FP. I got the blue section but had to line up an hr early to get a good spot within that section. It worked out ok. There are cool things about the preferred dining section but it's too much for me. I'd rather have that money for souvenirs - MTLott79.8 #3275 11-26-10 8:56PMLike Reply

What do you know? TSMM has only 93 minutes of wait time. Sighs.
Wow! Another busy day at the parks today. - Ericksenator374.8 #364 11-24-10 10:52AMLike Reply
I get scared looking at the wait times. I'm hoping it won't be that busy when we go. - TheUser18.9 #5171 11-24-10 10:55AMLike Reply
Wow, just wow. For any wait over 60 minutes they should let us ride twice! :-) - Dahulagirl1053.2 #80 11-24-10 10:57AMLike Reply
I jokingly asked that to CM at splash mountain and they smiled and told me "then the wait time will be twice as long." I was like oh and went along. :) - TheUser18.9 #5171 11-24-10 11:01AMLike Reply

Is bug's land attraction fun for twenty year old? I've always felt weird going in there without a little kid with me. I love fantasyland so I figured I might enjoy it tough.
It's not even close to being as cool as FL. There is nothing realy that good in bugs land for you. - Pinup Princess167.4 #2040 11-19-10 9:42PMLike Reply
I find it better with kids. I bet you can borrow one from a MWer. - DisneyPhotoFan871.2 #103 11-19-10 9:43PMLike Reply

First ever question on MW! I'm going to DL on December 13th and why are they closing so early at 6? So since fireworks is at 6 we stay after park closes? Thank you.
That maybe the Disneyland employee Christmas party which closes to the public and opens up for the employees and their families. - dona7788.4 #3160 11-12-10 6:33AMLike Reply
Dona is correct, it's one of the nights for the Disney CM family parties. Monday the 12th is the other night - TinkPen428.4 #292 11-12-10 6:36AMLike Reply
