The discount for the hotels vary by day & hotel they range from 10-30%. I had my hotel booked with Ap discount & they came out with a new offer that gave free character dining & an extra discount, so my room dropped an extra $200 plus the free dining worth about $140. Went crawling back to Jenny Craig today. It's expensive, but it works (and considering what I spend on lunches and dinners when I'm NOT on a diet, it's not really that expensive). Thank goodness I purchased that lifetime membership!
Anyone else remember this? I just paid $52 for it on Etsy. Crazy? Maybe. But it was my all time favorite childhood souvenir from Disneyland and it makes me happy (and it still glows!). What was your favorite as a child?

Yeah, in my experience things do quiet down earlier. My guess is that they are probably planning on closing the park at 8 during the week, and 10 on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. The reason for the vague responses is probably because they haven't decided yet, and are waiting to see exactly how many people will be visiting during that time of the year. We are morning people, so it doesn't bother us--I actually prefer visiting in the first few hours of the day because everything is fresh and clean and uncrowded, but I can see how that might be a disappointment. But, it's an opportunity to make new memories and traditions and develop a different routine! :) I think you'll really like the Halloween theming and fall weather. - Spoonful_O_Sugar436.2 #285 7-29-12 7:25AMLike Reply

It really comes down to healthy choices and portions but on those days you go out, or want something that's no ideal you are able to budget for it. It also is motivation to stay on track all day and keep your points low if you know you are going out to dinner, etc. DM me if you ever have any questions! (Note: I'm saying all of this with support and love :) )
I was thinking the same thing as your coworker, lol. In order to beat the binging issue, I think a change in perspective is necessary: WW is not a diet, it's a healthy lifestyle. Once you reach your goal weight, you're allowed more points, but you're always conscious of your food intake. Lasting weight loss, statistically, isn't related to cutting certain foods out completely--that only works for a small percentage of people for the long-term. It's about moderation for most people. I think you can totally beat the binging cycle with WW, but it will require you to look at food differently than you have on SB and other diet plans :). Good luck with whatever road you take! I'm here for ya! - Spoonful_O_Sugar436.2 #285 4-11-12 2:57PMLike Reply
^^^what she said. Depriving yourself of certain foods can play a huge part in the binge cycle. Once at a retreat I went to, the speaker, who was also. A healthy lifestyle coach, had us do this exercise. She said for us to take a deep breath and hold it until she told us to start breathing again. She then talked and talked for what seemed like forever! When she finally said " ok breathe" we all sucked in huge breaths of air. She explained that this is what happens when we "diet"...when we hold out and deprive ourselves...eventually our willpower stalls out and we stuff ourselves with whatever we've been craving...just like the way we sucked in air when we deprived ourselves of breathing. It was a powerful demonstration for me. Of course, there's also the emotional aspect of binging to deal with. But stopping the diet roller coaster is a huge piece of the answer to being free from it. Yes, you can do the online WW but I highly recommend the meetings. I didn't think I would like the meetings at all but they help me do much! Either way that you choose, WW is a great plan. (((hugs))) - vernswifevickie 348.6 #416 4-12-12 4:33AM
Thanks SoS... and I so love that you added the disclaimer! You're the best! - msdizmaui 519.0 #223 4-13-12 12:55AM
So... it's unanimous. Hard to argue with that! I'm definitely going to take a serious look at it. I think what scared me in the past was the whole point thing, but like someone else (Gia?) just posted about, that was a long time ago and my understanding is that it's easier now (the thing that got me on SBD was that it's fairly simple - you eat what's on the list, and avoid what isn't). I've heard only good things about WW all my life, so I guess it's time for me to join up! I've had a horrible week (too many life decisions are on me right now... I actually have a bank soliciting me for a Branch Manager position, but I just don't know which way to go - so, of course I've been eating!). Looking into WW will give me something positive to focus on! Thanks everyone! Now if you could just all give me job advice..... :) - msdizmaui519.0 #223 4-13-12 12:53AMLike Reply

Started a new job today (Store Manager for Sprint) and learned that my boss is totally into Disney. She goes to WDW (because she has family in FL), but I won't hold that against her! Yay... talking Disney will make life so much easier!
Congrats on new job and talking Disney will help - MarshaMouse2864.4 #15 1-16-12 9:52PMLike(1) Reply
Mahalo everybody~ She even did the "who's your favorite character" thing with the employees at my introductory meeting this morning. I already have it in for the "Tweety Bird" girl and the "Babu" from Aladdin guy! - msdizmaui519.0 #223 1-16-12 10:16PMLike Reply
Sooo excited to read about the plans for the new, night-time "Mad T Party" at DCA. Wasn't into ElecTRONica, but I like having something else to do at night. The House of Cards bar may be my favorite...lol!
I am really excited about it as well:) - BooEve123800.3 #115 1-13-12 12:40PMLike Reply
Me to, but I'll miss elecTRONica - dug_one1431.6 #55 1-13-12 12:45PMLike Reply
It'll be themed off of the Tim Burton version of Alice. From the article..."Beginning summer 2012, Disney California Adventure park guests will fall into the rabbit hole and land in a wild and whimsical world at Mad T Party. Inspired by the world of Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” the all-new nighttime family celebration will feature a live band, unique entertainment, fun-filled games and plenty of dancing. Familiar faces from the story will be re-imagined in new ways to immerse guests in a captivating world that’s filled with exclusive signature foods, beverages and merchandise offerings." - msdizmaui519.0 #223 1-13-12 1:04PMLike Reply

I just took an online survey re: my last trip to Disneyland. The majority of the questions were about Peter Pan's Flight... How often do you ride it?; How would you describe it to someone that's never been on it?; etc. The weirdest... I More...
I have no insider info, but I totally agree--a car would make no sense, lol. I am usually very supportive of changes in DL, but I would be sad to see this changed :( - Spoonful_O_Sugar436.2 #285 1-12-12 5:13PMLike Reply
I just took that same survey. I got silly about the car?. Told them I wanted to be in a Dodge Mega cab. Figured if I was in Fantasyland I wanted to be in my dream truck. - MissyluvsDisneyland357.6 #396 1-12-12 9:44PMLike Reply
The flying ship is the best part of the ride. I hope they don't change that part. - Twitterpated230.9 #1228 1-12-12 9:54PMLike Reply

I did. I didn't talk to the rep though. Did you guys go over the "special discount" for adding points? My home resort is the Grand. What's yours? - EpicDio381.7 #354 1-4-12 7:40PMLike Reply
I'm not a member. I was interested though, but only if I could have the Grand as my "home" resort. Since it's sold out, they're trying to sell everyone on Aulani or Animal Kingdom resort at WDW (and then use your point at GCH). That's fine I guess, but then you don't get to have "home court" advantage when booking. Not a problem though... I don't have the $$ right now anyway! The special disc. was getting a one time only allottment of extra points (same # as the amount you buy) if you bought in now. - msdizmaui519.0 #223 1-4-12 8:48PMLike Reply
Really? That's smart. Have you ever had issues booking at another resort? They made a big deal about having "first booking" privilleges at your home resort.

I haven't had issues as long as you're flexible. I was able to book the Wilderness Lodge during peak season this past year. I also booked Boardwalk Villas for our trip in two weeks. - EpicDio381.7 #354 1-4-12 9:43PMLike Reply

There is a reason for everything and I believe in Karma. Dont be surprised when you hear from the company begging you to come back cause they made a huge error in judgement by promoting the nitwit! Best of luck to you! - SUUZinOC715.3 #140 12-16-11 2:05AMLike(1) Reply

I never even filled out a Job Application! They hired me with just a resume - of course I filled out tax forms, but that's it! They just don't operate like a "real" company (they're a non-profit). Today during a discussion about the financial "stuff", my boss made the statement..."we all know that every company has 2 sets of books... the real ones and the ones that they show the IRS!". WTH!?!
