The wife shops for Buddha's whenever we go 'thrifting' she was standing by this one and missed it. - SteveGough30.6 #4424 2-22-13 5:31PMLike Reply
From last night... First off, where is Kelly standing? On opening week beads were there. Later, the beads were missing. Now I see they are back. And larger. Just some useless DCA trivia...nothing more to see
This is in the Hollywood Backlot in DCA. The Oz preview 3D is in the Muppet 3D theater and is quite the teaser. The group we were with all agreed we wanted the entire movie shown in that theater with its special effects.

The politically incorrect characters of Disney's past... Brer Bear was out today and I heard kids comment that they did not know what character he was
I don't think Brer Bear was ever politically incorrect. Now, if Uncle Remus were walking around as a face character, maybe that would be an issue. - JustCantWait839.8 #110 2-17-13 4:19PMLike(3) Reply
Don't get the politically correct reference to Brer Bear but that is sad they don't know where the characters are from. I do though, guess my parents raised me up right in a Disnerd family. 😂😭 - Donaldfan_532227.2 #1303 2-17-13 3:41PMLike(1) Reply
I beg to differ. It reflects what was thought to be the mindset of that era. Which yes, is bad. What offended me was his little Velvet Suit with short pants. And that his hair was so shiny. Yeah I'm a knucklehead. - Butterlina1313.6 #63 2-19-13 9:16AMLike Reply

Regarding this picture...I assume that somewhere there is a button that when pressed activates the solenoid that releases the sword.
They may even be a wireless remote now. I have seen the ceremony several times...what is the magic behind this sword in the anvil? - SteveGough30.6 #4424 2-19-13 3:02PMLike Reply
I don't know how it works, but I do know how to tell if you are going to be able to pull it out or not. If you are standing at the sword, look up to your left at the Peter Pan window and there is a red/green light on the bottom corner. If it's red, the sword is locked, but if it's green, you can pull it out! So far I haven't seen it green, but I know this is how the CM tells if it can be pulled out. - Sarafina 400.7 #338 2-19-13 3:15PM
I think your assumption is safe. I have no doubt that there is a button or switch of some type that locks and releases it. - aidensmama 339.3 #446 2-19-13 3:38PM
