Has anyone ever used the Disneyland Express shuttle from LAX? If so, how does it work? Do I need to make a reservation or do we just find the loading section when we arrive? Also, do we need to be staying at a certain hotel? Thanks!

SNA is the best! I've always been flying into LAX and like you, taking the 45 min. Speedi Shuttle ride. Wait until you fly into SNA... it's like 15 min. max, and none of the crazyness of LAX! We now usually splurge and take a cab, since it isn't that far (and you don't have to sit and wait for the other 10 people to show up, or stop at 5 hotels before yours!). Hhmm... I've stayed at all 3, and there were things I liked about all! Park Vue had comfy beds.. Desert Inn is right behind Denny's for easy access for breakfast or late night dinner.. Don't live in anaheim, but we go every year in January and March. March ses to be a good time as long as you don't get too close to spring break. I'd have to agree w/BBMCM. There are less crowds starting about the second week of January since all winter breaks are done by then. As for weather, you'd probably have an 85% chance of good to decent weather (dry) and if it is raining, make sure to bring your own poncho & enjoy the shorter lines & fewer people! I usually book through them. I don't do the payment plan because the rates are so cheap anyway, but, if I had to I would. You have to put a chunk down and then pay monthly.
