My minis made these wooden toys last weekend at the Lowe's build and grow kids workshop. They are adorable! This weekend, the 22nd and 23rd, they have another free kids project. It is going to be a Monsters University treasure box! We can More...

We are planning a trip this fall with friends whom have never been! We are trying to decide between Halloween or after Thanksgiving. Thoughts anyone? Pros and Cons of either time would be very helpful. We have always gone in either late F More...
I have only been during Halloween/early November or in the end of December/beginning of January. From what I have heard and experienced for myself, I would say to go after thanksgiving. If you go during Halloween time, there are a lot of Halloween parties, which requires a special ticket. If you do not have a ticket to the Halloween party, you have to leave the park at a certain time (around 7 if I remember correctly). They only do the Halloween fireworks and Halloween parade during the party. From what I have read and from friends I have spoken to, late November/early December isn't too busy. Thanksgiving and Black Friday are busy but besides that, it is pretty quiet there. I would recommend going during that time so you will all be able to fully enjoy the parks. Hope that helps! - kayceeb143.5 #2437 6-7-13 3:33PMLike Reply
I went one black friday two years ago and it was quiet, last year, packed!! I love Christmas and all the decorations so I would much rather go then if I had to choose. the halloween decorations are great too but you do have to buy a ticket for the parties. I guess it depends on whether your friends like Halloween more than Christmas. cool thing about Christmas too is that the holiday overlay on Haunted Mansion stays up so you can still see the Halloween part of Disneyland there throughout all the holidays! - secretagentangel710.8 #143 6-7-13 4:26PMLike Reply
Good morning everyone! I am looking for pen pals for my minis :) I have an 8 year old boy, 6 year old girl and 3 year old boy. I would love for them to learn to send handwritten letters to friends. Anyone interested please DM me. Thanks!
Good Morning! I don't have any children but that is super sweet! I hope you are able to find some pen pals for them! :) - Armenda1059.7 #82 5-7-13 11:01AMLike Reply

Hoping someone can help :) I purchased a yellow and orange tote bag at the park last year. It had a black Mickey on it. If I remember correctly, it was one of those special deals where you spend a certain amount and get to buy the special More...
Unfortunately, that particular bag is not available anymore because it was a promotion for that season only. But the resort has a new tote bag for $16.95 with any purchase over $25 - BaseballMickey_CM2996.9 #15 4-22-13 3:31PMLike(1) Reply
The Disney stores also have the promo if you spend $20 you get it for $15. I saw white and orange stripes with Mickey or white and pink stripe with Minnie I think. - ilovems149.8 #2343 4-22-13 3:38PMLike(1) Reply
Thanks everyone. I will try eBay and if I can't find one, I guess I will have to settle for a different style :( - MammaTink183.4 #1861 4-22-13 7:58PMLike Reply
So I read your post a few days ago and I guess it stuck with me, today i was in the Disney outlet store and saw a bag that I thought matched your description. Now reading again I am not sure its the same one but its similar if you did want to settle for a similar style. I snapped a picture of it to show you so if you want to see it just DM me with an email address so I can send it to you :) - lohofosho333.0 #475 4-25-13 5:28PMLike Reply
We are thinking about getting annual passes. Premium or Deluxe, tell me your thoughts.
Premium. It has great benefits with it. Then again, it's all I've known. - wickedlyraven. 284.6 #722 3-16-13 10:09PMLike(1) Reply
Are you someone who would like to go on the weekends and during holidays? I know a lot of Saturdays are blocked out with the Deluxe pass and also two weeks during Christmas time. Also the Premium gives you better discounts and free parking which can add up if you will be parking at the parks every visit. Just some thoughts :) - lohofosho333.0 #475 3-16-13 10:09PMLike(1) Reply
I had a premium and it was nice. Last year that was. We used the free parking and the discounts and it worked out well. This year we weren't going to renew due to the insane price increase, but we decided we would go with the deluxe pass instead. That $200 you save is worth not going on most Saturdays. We stay close enough to walk to the park so parking isn't much of an issue (we stay at little cheap motels to save money) and the difference in the discounts isn't much, so that's not really a factor. Yeah, we have to plan a little more carefully due to blocked days, but those tend to be when the park is crazy busy anyways, so we don't mind going during the week when we can get the time off, we live too far to make just a weekend trip up anyways. So in my personal opinion, if you're willing to work around the blocked days, I'd say deluxe, the money you save going deluxe instead of premium is easily hotel and gas and food for a trip. If you go premium, it is nice still. - jamielynn142.6 #2451 3-20-13 8:23AMLike Reply
If you don't plan on going on major holidays, Saturdays and some Sundays, go for the Deluxe. It's nice having the freedom to pop in whenever you want though. - ScubaSteve028820.7 #115 3-20-13 8:25AMLike Reply
Well, it is official, we will be back in the parks June 26-28! Super excited (we are not telling the kiddos until we arrive)
That's great! Surprising kids with Disney is one of my favorite things!! - Katya75321.3 #534 5-12-11 9:50AMLike Reply
We will be there with 4 other families. The kiddos are on a competitive dance team and we decided to drive over for a few days after their National dance competition in Vegas :) - MammaTink183.4 #1861 5-12-11 1:29PMLike Reply
Disney is awesome! We just got a package with a mouse ear hat for my son and a rapunzel polly pocket for my daughter! They got sick while we were there, so Mickey wanted them to have a get well soon gift, sooo sweet!
Very sweet. Do hope there all better now - Tealtownfan701.8 #145 4-14-11 10:53AMLike Reply

So, I am bringing my kiddos for the first time on March 23! BuzzBoy (Isaiah) is 5, my princess Naomi is3 and my little is 7mo. Any advice on making this an awesome trip for all?
Stay in one of the Disney hotels. Look for extra magic hours. Get fastpass for woc first thing. Make reservations at the restaurants you want to eat at! Hope this is a good start! - sharkbait423.3 #307 3-7-11 9:29PMLike Reply
Thanks. I made a reservation at ariels grotto for the woc dinner. Any other must sees or must dos? - MammaTink183.4 #1861 3-7-11 9:36PMLike Reply
Toy story midway mania, turtle talk with crush, anything in fantasyland, small world, tiki room, and jungle cruise. - sharkbait423.3 #307 3-7-11 9:42PMLike Reply
I have a little one too and we go to Disneyland all the time, I I suggest to go as soon as disneyland opens, if you can and go straight to fantasyland and do all the rides there first, your kids will love it. And then do the rest of the park. Oh and if you stay for dinner I suggest to call disney dining to make reservation for the blu by you. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. - Charles-Xavier866.8 #8550 3-7-11 9:52PMLike Reply
You can find some at the disney store, most are at the parks. With few exceptions, you don't know exactly which one you get until you open it. You have control over the series, but you can't buy a spicific one. That's where the trading comes in - GoofyMom77251.7 #1019 3-6-11 6:21PMLike Reply
