Unfortunately, stigmas and stereotypes don't appear out of thin air. And the negative comments u read were spurred on by negative experiences with clubs/members. Not that I care one way or the other. I have never seen multiple clubs/members comingling with others. Ie. never landers with mse etc. if u feel the need to wear vest to separate or identify yourselves from others or to feel special thats up to u. I personally have never needed to gain approval from a group just so I can feel accepted. Hopefully more positive interaction between sc members and non will help remove the stigma. But I don't care. If u wear vest or separate ur self from the normal populous you're asking for attention. And many will interperate that as exclusion and thinking your special.  - FarelMickey   111.1 #3178 2-14-14 9:12PM Like  Reply
Like I said in my original post, this was all meant with good intentions. I don't seek acceptance, and most definitely am not trying to separate myself from other by wearing a vest. It's a real downer that for a lot of people after having one interaction, or even just hearing about an interaction with an SC member that wasn't pleasant, has now given everyone included a bad reputation. I - London-In-Wonderland  450.2 #408 2-15-14 7:40AM

buy a one day ticket and have fun.... go to the beach, visit the museo in down town anaheim to see some of Walts history enmeshed with Anaheim. Walt also has a large photo on the 2nd floor of our main library on broadway and harbor. Museo is at Broadway and Anaheim Blvd. Both are near each other and the parks. Pearson Park at Harbor and sycamore is a large old style park with kid equipment or there is Boysen Park which has a jet fighter airplane as part of the climb on toys and its at st college and vermont. Some of anaheim's elementary school are year round and the high schools are getting ready to return so the parks should be almost empty except for toddler crews. The mother colony house is the first house built in Anaheim and it has tours but you need to check the internet for times. If you need a really BIG mall just go down the 5 south and get off at South coast plaza. They have a carrousel inside for little ones and hours of walking and shopping all inside with AC. Best baby beach Corona del Mar but you can also go to Huntington beach and enjoy the beach town and pier plus the sand that kids love,

Opinions please--I've been piecing together a trip for my husband, baby and I that we'll be taking in December, and would just like to be sure I'm getting a good deal. We'll be getting 5-day park hopper tickets through the military for $2  More...
We stay at the Best Western Park Place Inn - is that where you are staying? The rate with AAA is anywhere between $90-$125 per night, plus parking. I'd say you are getting a good deal with the park hoppers, but you may want to double check if an annual pass makes more sense. The So Cal Select pass is $279 and you are good to go on these dates in December: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19. - Alicewhoareyou   896.5 #157 7-26-13 11:51AM Like  Reply
I lied on the room rate. Depends on what time of year you are going. Our recent stay for the 4th of July weekend was $134 per night, if I remember correctly. - Alicewhoareyou  896.5 #157 7-26-13 11:55AM
^^^ this. U should get the AP if it falls on those dates n u get 10% off on some foods n merchandize i believe. Good luck 😊 - iLOVELUCYnDISNEY  577.2 #288 7-26-13 12:02PM
if you can get military tickets then you can buy the Disney salute tickets. They will be $129 for a three day park hopper and you just buy two three day passes for each person and it will only be 258 for six days! - rachelelizabeth   189.0 #1971 7-26-13 11:54AM Like  Reply
also. i dont know your dates but the two queen room at the Anaheim desert inn which is next door to the Best western across the street is only $89 a night for some days in December. - rachelelizabeth  189.0 #1971 7-26-13 12:01PM
YES! They just released the prices for the Fall and into 2014. We are getting ready to purchase ours for our November trip. Be careful to check for blocked dates. They do block the week of Christmas I believe. - AKMouse  421.6 #443 7-26-13 12:01PM
I think $1100 for a week is pretty good. If not military look into AAA discounts. Have a great visit? - dizneedude   629.6 #257 7-26-13 2:24PM Like  Reply
Have you checked into doing a full package at one of the DL hotels. They offer discounts on rooms as well for military (last I knew). I'm not sure how it would compare, but worth asking depending on the dates. - Sugarbuzz   126.6 #2886 7-26-13 2:25PM Like  Reply
yes you can also get 40 percent off at the disneyland hotels with military discount but they tend to still be more expensive then staying off property. You can always call and ask. - rachelelizabeth  189.0 #1971 7-26-13 2:28PM

I'm sorry this happened. Usually, WOD does not carry everything, only about 10-15% of all of the parks' merchandise. The general rule I've learned is if you see it and you like it, buy it. You can always return/exchange it later at any store in the park. Also, there are various locations around the parks that they can hold your purchases for you until you want to come back and pick them up. - BaseballMickey_CM   5783.4 #13 7-1-13 1:43PM Like(5)  Reply
I guess that's why it took me by surprise.. Because there was a time when I had purchased a sweatshirt in Disneyland, and wanted to exchange it for a different size at WOD, granted they carried the same item.. We will both just need to make the habit of purchasing when we have the opportunity and finding a package holding spot πŸ‘ - London-In-Wonderland  450.2 #408 7-1-13 1:50PM

Mousewait uses a special barometer that was created by a mad scientist in Chino. The actual number is combination of the barometer reading and the amount of guests that were in the parks on the same day in 1963. I absolutely love the show. This season is off to a slow start but it is starting to pick up momentum. I for one think the costumes, scenery, acting, and stories are all terrific. It is almost as engaging for me as Lost was. As for ridiculous story lines? These are fairy tale characters. The show is not going to be reflective of what is possible in real life. - aidensmama   340.1 #603 10-28-12 10:38PM Like(3)  Reply
By ridiculous, I mean the always convenient loop holes (there's no more magic here..yes there is..now there isn't..then there is again!) - London-In-Wonderland  450.2 #408 10-28-12 10:53PM
All tv shows have an element of this type of formulaic scripting. OUAT is somewhat of a prime time soap opera. That's what happens on these types of shows. - aidensmama  340.1 #603 10-28-12 11:14PM
Well if you are unfamiliar with LOST, which have the same writers for Once Upon a Time, then you should know that they tend to leave a lot more questions than answering then. So I'm guessing the loopholes you are refering to are probably unanswered questions. And yes I'm probably biased but I love the show and love every single character and their actors and acting ability. As for the effects, yes they are cheesy at times, but remember its not a high budget film, so they do the best with what they got. - sleepyhead_CM   572.1 #294 10-28-12 11:55PM Like(1)  Reply
I absolutely love that show! I understand that there are inconsistencies but I can look beyond that. I appreciate the interesting takes on the characters... like Peter Pan for example. Can't wait for the next season. It def is a show that you can't be hold your Disney knowledge to though or you'll end up over analyzing it. Given that the acting isn't always amazing... but the stories are worth it. For whatever it's worth... I couldn't get into lost and the premise annoyed me. But this I can work with lol - Poisen_Ivy   269.4 #1024 7-11-13 1:08PM Like  Reply

I think the fact that being open from the hours of 12-6am is what attracted a lot of people. For some people it's the chance of getting to say "I was there" or "I experienced this". That is what a lot of people are aiming for as well as the stories and shenanigans that went down during those hours that they'll be telling friends/family/peers the following day: Disney After Dark. - rbeezy   702.9 #214 3-1-12 1:07AM Like  Reply

The MW code is LKMT and it gets you 15% off but if you have an AP it can get you 20% or more depending on the dates. Hope to see you soon! - HoJoAnaheim   263.8 #1072 11-13-11 7:47PM Like(1)  Reply

I say if that is what they like good for them!! I have three tattoos, all of them mean a lot to me even if others don't like them ✨ - AshleyLynn22   791.2 #183 11-5-11 1:17AM Like(4)  Reply
I agree- we will rarely understand people's reasonings for the tattoos they get, but that's because it's a personal choice and we are all created differently. ;) I love tattoos but my husband hates them, otherwise I would probably have a few! - Melliott  299.4 #790 11-5-11 9:50AM

Not quite sure! I was just there last weekend on October 30. The Dark Chocolate Honeycomb you mentioned sounds pretty tasty though! I should try it next time :) - rbeezy   702.9 #214 11-4-11 12:53PM Like  Reply

I see DCA is going to do a holiday version of WOC...but does anybody know if the show will be mostly the same, w/ holiday additions to the end? Or a complete overhaul? I was hopin' to see the Pirates segment! Our trip is in December..

Hey MW fam...I need some input/unbiased advice. I found out today I'm having a boy (yay!) but am having a REALLY tough time with the name. A favorite of mine & my husband's has been Cullen. We loved this named because we I have always cal  More...

Stick with Cullen, you will always be disappointed if you don't name him what you aleady named him in your heart. I love that name btw! - akpoppins   263.1 #1075 10-10-11 7:06PM Like(1)  Reply
My first name is constantly misspelled and mispronounced - I named my son River and tho it's a common word people still stop for a second because it's not a commonly used for a name. I don't know how Cullen isnt said correctly in the time of Edward Cullen but I would just go with what you like and boo whoo to the rest - Smart.tea   205.4 #1774 10-11-11 1:46AM Like  Reply

Cute pic, but if you think of the plot of the movie, after biting the apple, Snow White is dead, so that makes it kind of creepy. Appropriate for Halloween though Heh - wg4ever   307.7 #744 10-7-11 10:33PM Like  Reply
