The whole idea of it being the center of the park is funny. Its a good myth but false nonetheless. My understanding is that the spike is purely a surveyers mark. There are supposedly other marks like that scattered elsewhere in the park for land surveying purposes. I didn't realize there was a difference between DL (Sleeping Beauty) and WDW (Cinderella) castles until a CM did a trivia game while we waited for the monorail.

Tangaroa Terrace @ DL Hotel - Casual, near pool w outdoor dining. Less hectic. Shared the Asian chicken salad (decent) & BBQ chicken sand (ok not great).

Naples has best pizza ever. They have personal size that can easily feed two people. A large size that can feed 4-6 people and a meter long family size that can fees 5-8 or more people. They have awesome house wines. And great deserts. The three sizes of pizza run about personal $15 ish. large $27 ish. family $45 ish. Also they have balloon artists walking around making things.
