Welcome to Chub 33 land :). I think it's important to drink lots of water, exercise, and cut out most of the "junk." When you're just getting started, it's very helpful to keep a food journal: a written record of everything you eat. Start with 20-30 minutes of light cardio activity (walking is great) 3x per week.
