To some extent it depends on the kind of camera you are using but here are a few: 1. Pay attention to composition - learn the rule of thirds and don't be afraid to look at the work of other photographers for inspiration 2. Don't use a flash in dark rides - it is annoying and doesn't help make the picture better. It actually flattens out the whole scene. If you have an SLR, get the fastest lens you can afford. The smaller the number you can set the aperture to (like f2.8, f5.6, etc) the better in low light. 3. Take lots of photos! Film is cheap these days because you dont need it so shoot away and edit later. 4. Post process - evaluate your pictures and use an editor to crop, set contrast, adjust color and more. 5. Have fun. If it seems overwhelming, shoot from the hip.
