Oh noooo!
yep that is why I avoid the crowded season. If it is kids then the parents did not want to vaccinate. Sometimes it’s the adults. Most adults do not get a booster measle shot because the children should have been vaccinated. By 10 years post vaccination, your immunity usually wanes. All these condition start out like a cold and then escalate. i went to college in my 30’s for nursing and I could not enroll until my shots were up to date and I could prove I had measles immunity. Guess what I had to get a measles shot. - Plumiegirl   8572.2 #3 1-7-15 4:30PM Like(1)  Reply

If the Meet and Greet Anna & Elsa is fast Pass only why is the wait still like 155 minutes?
Fast pass allows you to do something else while you wait. In DL we waited in line 2 hours or longer.  - Song   1707.5 #82 1-3-15 12:57PM Like  Reply

How is it in Ca, for Premium AP we pay $700.00 compared to Florida they pay$634.00 and get 2 additional parks to play in. And for less than $60 you can add water parks and golf! Why???????
My guess would be demand. A lot of people local to Disneyland purchase annual passes as well as nearby states like Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Washington and Arizona. Disneyland is more locally driven while Disneyworld makes much of their money from tourists. Getting an annual pass for Disneyworld is probably less in demand  meaning slightly lower prices. - missmimi90   1769.7 #78 12-26-14 8:30PM Like  Reply

I only had one child 23 years ago and Disneyland was the only park on the property. I did not go till my son was 3 and he was potty trained. With one park and one kid, I planned on 2 hours visits and my son walked till he was tired and went home which is very close in anaheim. I realized folks come from further away and this is why they pack soo much but like you said. It is so much fun to see the surprise and wonder at each new thing they experience while there. It is a very short time they are small. Believe it or not it is easier than you think. Just wait till everyone wants to do anything you dont want to do.Β  - Plumiegirl   8572.2 #3 11-29-14 11:00AM Like(6)  Reply

Definitely do different things each visit. And since you're not rushing around like a tourist,  teach them to keep their eyes out for ways they can do random acts of kindness -- take someone's family photo, let someone ahead of them in line when they arrived at the same time, pick up trash, give away fast passes.... - Taunton   377.8 #546 6-28-14 11:22PM Like(6)  Reply

I think you're very fortunate to be able to go and enjoy the parks so often.  You're making great memories with your family in a beautiful, clean, fun, imaginative  place. You're experiencing exactly what Walt Disney wanted for your family. There will be plenty of other opportunities for your kids to anticipate fun activities and trips. The Hotel is normally there 24x7 because of hotel guests. I tried to get in for a pin event at 3am and there was a guard there.  Are you staying at the hotel?  If so, you should be ok.  If you ate there, save the receipt, show the attendant and see if they take pity on you. I have got past a few attendants with receipts. You can also ask to talk to a lead to see what they can do. I think it's $57 max daily, which would be absurd. - DLKenCA   2057.2 #62 6-23-14 9:59PM Like  Reply

We went to that museum before our last DL trip. If you can do a guided tour and mention your love of Disney, they will show the trolley that the one in DCA is modeled after (DCA is 3/4 scale). They will also take you into Ward Kimball's collection (Disney animator). Why did they discontinue the 6 day park hopper? We used all the days when we bought them. And now they take your pic and all... - PrincessDaisy   307.7 #799 6-2-13 8:22AM Like  Reply

Annual Passes Good Vs. Bad I remember when I was a kid we'd go to Disneyland 1x a year, So.Cal gas company night. I would be so excited I would literally have dreams about it! I would watch MM club and finger through picture books. Now a  More...
Don't take this wrong, but you set your kids up to never have to experience that longing for Disneyland. I did the same to mine and it's really okay. She's going to always remember having tons and tons of great Disneyland memories and being able to visit often, during the holidays, rainy days, slow days and crazy busy summer million degree days. Cherish your memories as I'm sure your kids will have their own to cherish, just not the same ones...and that's okay 😊 - Linzee   1025.6 #162 5-10-13 10:18PM Like(1)  Reply
I agree with @Linzee. My kids get as excited going to DL every other week as I did growing up going only once a year. - Witchie77  338.7 #645 5-10-13 11:34PM
We used to go and have APs a lot when my brother and I were younger, until I was around 8-9 maybe? And after that we would go once or twice a year. Now I have had an AP for 4 years, and I still get excited regardless :) ( and I usually go at least once a week) - MEHlanie_Mouse   1114.5 #140 5-10-13 10:10PM Like  Reply
I don't have kids but my friend just recently bought passes for herself & her 2 minis and the grandparents were against it because they felt Disneyland should be earned throughout the year (kinda like Christmas & Santa). I'm inclined to agree now that I've been with them a couple of times. They totally take it for granted. I'm sure not all do, but in this instance I agree that they should earn it and therefore get excited about it. :) - missariel33   1942.8 #72 5-10-13 11:37PM Like  Reply
My family could only afford once a year and that was awesome. When I bought passes for my son & I 20 years ago, we have gone every week since and I still get all excited when we go. I agree with Linzee. Besides I see the fireworks every night from home. The magic is always nearbyπŸ˜„βœ¨πŸŒŸβœ¨ps: this year marks 50 years for me going every year to the parks. It used to be DL only back then. - Plumiegirl   8572.2 #3 5-10-13 11:51PM Like  Reply
