Linzee, those great discounts help me to justify spending more in the park. "Look honey, that $200 purse will only cost us $180." It's a bargain! ๐๐ - LaPearleNoir 620.9 #179 6-2-13 9:11PM

Like everyone mentione: when you factor in parking fees, not having to plan a vacation around black outs, popping in one last time the day you leave, major discounts on merch and food, you can see all the savings add up quick! Don't take this wrong, but you set your kids up to never have to experience that longing for Disneyland. I did the same to mine and it's really okay. She's going to always remember having tons and tons of great Disneyland memories and being able to visit often, during the holidays, rainy days, slow days and crazy busy summer million degree days. Cherish your memories as I'm sure your kids will have their own to cherish, just not the same ones...and that's okay ๐ - Linzee533.3 #218 5-10-13 10:18PMLike(1) Reply
I agree with Linzee. My kids get as excited going to DL every other week as I did growing up going only once a year. - Witchie77 266.9 #876 5-10-13 11:34PM
We used to go and have APs a lot when my brother and I were younger, until I was around 8-9 maybe? And after that we would go once or twice a year. Now I have had an AP for 4 years, and I still get excited regardless :) ( and I usually go at least once a week) - MEHlanie_Mouse750.1 #135 5-10-13 10:10PMLike Reply
I don't have kids but my friend just recently bought passes for herself & her 2 minis and the grandparents were against it because they felt Disneyland should be earned throughout the year (kinda like Christmas & Santa). I'm inclined to agree now that I've been with them a couple of times. They totally take it for granted. I'm sure not all do, but in this instance I agree that they should earn it and therefore get excited about it. :) - missariel33134.5 #2574 5-10-13 11:37PMLike Reply
My family could only afford once a year and that was awesome. When I bought passes for my son & I 20 years ago, we have gone every week since and I still get all excited when we go. I agree with Linzee. Besides I see the fireworks every night from home. The magic is always nearby๐โจ๐โจps: this year marks 50 years for me going every year to the parks. Question to all MW experts. I purchased my AP at the grocery store at the old price! Yeah for me! My question is when I go to use it for the first time do I get the AP at the turnstile, or do I have to venture over to the passholder cente More...
Actually, before you even head to the turnstiles, you go to the ticket booths and have them scan your paper/temporary AP card and they'll print you out your actual AP, then, you have a PhotoPass photographer take your AP photo. It's a rare find to get one at that price still. You got lucky! Fanofthemouse, there's a good chance you wouldn't have found one even if you'd searched a bunch of stores. Most everyone is paying the new higher price now. - Mimmy 1405.6 #57 8-5-12 11:16PM

What if one day Disney handed over the parks to MW to run! What job would you do? Why? I'd take 3rd shift custodial and walk/clean my attractions.
Dust and vacuum Walt's apartment above the firehouse, then rope drop giving big Mickey hand high-fours to happy guests, drive the firetruck awhile then the horse trolley, quick wardrobe change then scale the Matterhorn, another wardrobe change into plaid to lead A Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, magical makeover into Cinderella to take pictures with the little princesses, perform a couple sets at Tomorrowland Terrace, fly as Tinkerbell, security sweep the park, then settle into the fantasy suite for the night to be sure everything is working right and is well-stocked. :-) - MelodyMouse943.8 #95 6-18-12 10:27PMLike(4) Reply
I would like to be the poor, unfortunate soul that has to taste all of the dishes that the Disney chefs create, and decide which ones should be sold in the park. I'm not actually sure if that's a real job, but I think id be good at it. - LittleAprilShowers500.7 #241 6-18-12 9:55PMLike(3) Reply

Maybe because when u complain about a ride it's like insulting Disneyland itself...but venting about a rude person is and asking advice is more understandable, especially since most of us have had this type of experience... But that's just my 2 cents ๐ - Mermaidmommy 32.8 #4332 6-17-12 9:02AM
