Disneyland has always had a special place in my heart. Have been married 23 yrs and have 3 awesome Disney-loving boys. We get to the park every Christmas!
Hi All- I rarely post but I really need any tips/advice that anyone may have....we will be in the parks all next week and although we've done many week long trips before, this will be the 1st time I've been in a wheelchair. I've opted for More...
Some people are rude stopping on ramps to look at maps and such. So just remember to be patient and polite and have fun. Ask for CMs assistance. Most attractions in DL let you go through the exit but ask the CM at each for details. Also don't forget about the handicap accessible areas like the castle walk through which is on the opposite side of the castle the walk through is. Also at nemo go to the exit and ask to use the observation outpost. You will be led to a room that allows the wheelchair to go in and you see what everyone else sees but on a larger screen. And you can leave at any time. - ImAlwaysCrazy646.5 #172 4-25-13 5:56PMLike(1) Reply
And remember that only 6 total can go on each attraction with you. That is you and 5 others. - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #172 4-25-13 5:58PM
Through the exits that is. If you wait the entire line (like in DCA) you can have as many as you want. - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #172 4-25-13 5:59PM
In honor of CM Appreciation Day-Farley! One of the best :D (pic taken on last trip)
My daughter and I love Farley!! He is amazing!! Always sings Old McDonald with her and let's her make the animal noises! We appreciate him too!! - ktkakes325.4 #515 12-9-11 9:53AMLike(1) Reply
Ok, I'll add to the old parking lot pics. Picnic"ing" in the lot! '94. Who else use to go eat in the car? haha.
I remember doing this and have our APs in the early 90's. We would drive around for the closest spot and spend the afternoons in the park....yes just one park back then. - Plumiegirl3502.8 #11 12-2-11 7:43PMLike Reply
My mom once sent us off with an "aunt" and her kids, 6 of us buggers. She was in such a hurry to make the sandwiches, when we opened them, we found bologna on white bread with the cheese still wrapped! - bluefairy628.8 #176 12-2-11 11:07PMLike Reply
Was only 10 but still remember all the fun we had that day and ALL night :)
I love how it is "Unlimited use of all attractions (Except shooting gallery)" Because after 25 hours of being awake, I really wouldn't trust anyone with a gun either. - Chim-Cher-ee165.5 #2113 12-2-11 11:58AMLike(2) Reply
I remember those. I wish I still had mine. - Krismiss304.9 #602 10-29-11 11:52PMLike Reply

Happy Monday MWers! Does anyone have a Disney song in their head right now? I have "little April shower" from Bambi-yeah, its raining where I am. Also love that they put it in WOC :D
Request please!: Would someone please let us, out of town, MWers know what are on the hub pumpkins? Or post pics? I would love to know. Thx so much! :o)
Since people are posting pics, I'll just let you know in case any weren't posted. There is Rodger Rabbit, Jack Skellington, Buzz, Tink, Pooh, Woody, and Tarzan. - jodykatin479.1 #255 9-14-11 6:25PMLike Reply

Good Morning everyone! Was thinking that it would be great if they made a movie featuring the "Fabulous Five"--maybe in the classic vintage. Think that would be so fun to see! (pic not live)
Taken a few yrs ago on Pirates Lair. It was a fun show that they use to do but not sure if it is still running, haven't seen it in a while. Anyone know?
Can't say I haven't..would be nice to see it though - MarshaMouse2935.5 #16 8-13-11 1:44PMLike Reply

Good Morning MWer's! For all you, like me, who have gone to DL countless times but have never gone up into the castle to do the "walk thru",do it! It was wonderful to see all they put in there which tells the story of Sleeping Beauty!
Personally it's one of my favorite attractions in the park. Don't know why but it's the epitome of fantasy story telling to me. Love it. - CadaverousPallor264.2 #901 8-12-11 8:25AMLike Reply
Just came across an old pic ('74) and am so happy that my kids have a special place in their hearts for Disneyland just like their mom :D
(Hah-how did that horse get purple?)
We always try to not break the bank when we go to DLR (w/ 3 kids, its hard!) but if money was not an issue-what is the one souvenir you'd love to get?? Or that you DID get ;)
All the Disney oil paintings within the valt off Main Street!! When I move to Cali, who would like to get me my first one as a house warming RAK ;^) hehe - Quackers4Dizney16.1 #5621 8-10-11 1:31PMLike Reply

I have my eye on a D&B purse. Also, the Pirates skull/cross swords at the heraldry shop. only $95, but more than I can afford. Oh, and all of the "Best of Mickey" kitchen stuff. So far I just have the spoon rest. - brit_brit303.1 #609 8-10-11 1:55PMLike Reply

CM Bonnie is one of the amazing women who make the Disneyland silhouettes! She is so talented and we appreciate her work so much--thx CM Bonnie, see ya next time!
In honor of CM Appreciation Day--a shout out to Alberto! This sweet man works in the Emporium and is one of the nicest CMs we know. Truly loves what he does and adding alittle piece of his own magic to the park--thx CM Alberto!
@DisneyDawn...I seek him out when I'm in the Emporium! He helped me out when I was looking for something a few years ago, and just went out of his way to help me! I just think he's such a great example of the Disney spirit! - Gia794.1 #122 8-5-11 9:51AMLike Reply
Part of the Disney magic for me is that it is ever changing but at the same time, remains the same. Believe that was Walts intent all along. What has been your favorite change that you've seen?
Anyone?? Ok, I'll start.--Dating myself here-- the complete remodel of Fantasyland! - DisneyDawn417.1 #316 8-4-11 3:16PMLike Reply
Let's see I liked Tom Sawyers island bit it's neat how they changed it to pirates island. - AsDreamersDo14.2 #5907 8-4-11 3:21PMLike Reply
It's not a hidden Mickey. Walt is wearing a Claddagh, a ring commonly worn in Ireland as a wedding ring, but also symbolizes friendship and love (depending on which way it's facing). - susieQzee486.8 #251 8-2-11 5:25PMLike Reply
I'm not a CM but was just wondering if they get into the parks (on days off of course) for free? Think they deserve it. Hope its not too personal a question, ha! I've probably wondered this since I was a kid, just always forget to ask one More...
I'm not a CM, but I know they do get in for free. And they're allowed to let in 3 guest for free too! :) - YoungDisney369.0 #390 7-28-11 7:10PMLike Reply
But they have blackout dates. - Mrsblue692.4 #151 7-28-11 7:11PMLike Reply

Well, guess I'm having a "Christmas in July" moment right now, what are some of ur favorite changes around the parks? (and just for a personal bet- who else smells gingerbread when u sail by England on IASW?? I gotta win this one!)
Christmastime at Dland is like nothing else! The sights, sounds, smells(yes, the yummy gingerbread) Haunted Holiday. It's pure magic. - SandraluvsDL5.1 #10547 7-25-11 4:38PMLike Reply

This was done on our last trip. Bonnie has such talent-she could probably do these in her sleep. what are some other character silhouette ideas? Just thinking ahead for next time...Thx!
Hi MW fam! took this on a recent trip and didn't think it would turn out 'cause Tigger, at the last sec, zoomed in on ME! but it did turn out and is now one of my fav pics. love when that happens. Thx Tigger, lol
