I know! After receiving multiple fakes of these, trying to complete the set, I finally broke down and bought the REAL ones! There really are alot of fakes. Yes!! We convinced the kids that Mickey and Minnie came to the room while we were at the pool. The young kids got the hat gift bag and the older boys got a gift card. I have done the Christmas tree and stockings in the room for our Christmas trip, my boys thought that Santa gave them an early surprise because they were so good that year! It was great, and we bring the tree every year with us now and buy new ornaments for it. We the take it home and display on a table in the entryway! It was well worth the cost! I'm from NorCal as well and have often thought about becoming a AP holder. I think if you have the money to get one go for it (plus Disney offers a payment plan to buy them as well) besides the hotel stay discounted you also save in the parks and Downtown Disney.
