I got one of those solar panels during one of those "road shows" at COSTCO last year and I don't think particularly it's useful in the Parks. It requires steady exposure to the sun in order to charge and that's just not possible when we're going in and out of the sun cuz of buildings and landscaping, etc Couldn't charge my iPhone (or my battery charger) as we walked along with it hooked to my backpack but it worked great while we sat having lunch (still had to "follow" the sun but . . . ) I think I'm just going to get another battery charger. Well... The water bottles would be filled woth Gatorade to get my power for the day...fighting my way through the crowds is hard work. Then the inside pocket would be filled with pins and other little raks for distributing around the park a tent a blanket my jacket a tea set for tea a lamp my dogs (all 3) a sewin machine to make every mouse waiter a shirt,candy, energy bars , books , and of course .... First aid kit with mickey bandaids etc... Yea.. I've done that very same thing a number of times. I gave a Mickey pin to a mentally challenged Deaf man (which is very close to my heart). I have goody bags from my daughters locker RAK last week to random kids on main street. Then I gave FP's to random people on Sunday. It filled my heart with a lot of joy. Just had the best experience riding POTC from the front row!! Is it just me that believes that or is it the child in me saying we got the front row!!! Cool!!
All summer I debated, made excuses and didn't want to do it! Until today, California Screamin was calling my name! It was great and I loved it so if you haven't tried it now it's time!!
My nine year old conquered her fear in Feb on that ride. We didn't have a chance to give it a second thought. We got in line and next thing you know, someone was handing us fast passes. We got in the fast pass line and within seconds we were strapped in and making that first turn. She did NOT like it. But she was brave and didnt scream or cry. She says she may go on again when she's older but for now, she says at least she tried it. I liked it but I may not go on again. Some rides, like Star Tours have a child switch pass.
