I love Disneyland and all things Disney! Walt is one of my heroes! My family and I had passes until they expired in April of 2011 but we are currently saving to purchase them again.
Up at 5:15 getting ready to go to Disneyland. We are surprising our kids with a two day trip after not being able to visit the park for two years. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces!
Picked up a load of mattresses from Sealy and just happened to notice where they are being shipped to. This is probably as close as I will ever get to there.
You should hide between the mattresses and go along for the ride! - Mimmy1405.6 #57 1-24-12 3:32PMLike(3) Reply
Has anyone heard from or gotten an update on @startours1?
Last I heard he was ignoring people that were reaching out to him. Hopefully he just needs some time for himself and comes back soon. - vincentchase642.1 #169 10-3-11 9:49AMLike Reply
Is it possible he had to go out of town because of his uncle? Oviusly there is more to his behavior then just that, but maybe a factor. He's been on my mind since I read the post. I hope he's well. It's not cool at all he's not putting all the concern at ease . - My_HappyPlace65.6 #3483 10-3-11 9:58AMLike Reply
Very possible but I wish he would just say I'm fine and respect my privacy. I think that would put this matter to bed. Under the cirumstances I understand where he is coming from though. Poor guy. - vincentchase 642.1 #169 10-3-11 10:01AM
My sister became his penpal, and she sent him a txt however she never heard anything back. I was even thinking about doing a pit stop at his house, however I don't want to intrude. - disneysgirl76223.8 #1309 10-3-11 10:04AMLike Reply
I think everyone has reached out as much as they can. Let's just pray for him and keep letting him know how much his MW family cares! - bubbajbi164.2 #2099 10-3-11 10:17AMLike Reply
I need everyone's help! TheGoofMan won my RAK but I am having trouble connecting with him. I posted my email on the announcement of him winning but still haven't heard anything. Is there a better way to contact another user? Thanks!
Bump is the only way if they didn't make a TXT contact - E-Ticket772.4 #128 9-26-11 7:25AMLike Reply
My sister and I want to do the Disney 5k next year but we need some more info: first of all how much does it cost and second do you get into the park afterwards or would we need to purchase tickets?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What's your most fond memory of Disneyland? Mine is when I was a kid my great-grandmother would come visit from Oregon and take us all to Disneyland.
Taking our daughter for her first time, I will never forget the excitement on her face and experiencing Disney through her eyes - KAA350.3 #410 9-13-11 8:59AMLike Reply
When I was 7, I was in the International Children's Choir from Long Beach. I had the pleasure of being one of the first boats in It's a Small World with Walt Disney himself. We had small urns of water that we poured into the ride's water. We also used to be in the Christmas parades and would get to hang out backstage with all of the characters and parade floats. I remember shaking Walt Disney's hand and I didn't want to wash my hand, so I put a plastic bag around it for a few days. I guess even at 7, I knew how special that moment really was. - snowwannab355.0 #403 9-13-11 9:08AMLike Reply
I've had so many and hope to have many more. My parents always saved to take us to Disneyland and I grew up adoring everything disney but especially Disneyland. For my sisters senior trip my mom and I joined her during the 50th celebration. We had a blast together but what I remember most was standing on main street watching the fireworks and when I heard Walt say "to all who come to this happy place, welcome" I lost it and started to cry. For some reason it was so moving to me. He created my favorite place on earth and here I was sharing and celebrating with my two favorite ladies. They laughed at me for crying but it was a beautiful moment ill remember forever! - mickeyboo65.3 #3485 9-13-11 5:09PMLike Reply
I went with my parents and my sons when they were 4 and 7. The youngest was terrified of riding the Matterhorn, so my father pretended to be also so he wouldn't be embarassed. I can still picture them sitting together on the bench waiting for us - in fact when I walked by it this summer with the same son (who's now 30), the memory made me tear up! - msdizmaui519.0 #223 9-13-11 5:19PMLike Reply
This has probably been done before but here goes: You get one day @ Disneyland, with only one person, only one ride is open, they are only serving one snack and only one restaurant is open. Mine would be my wife, space mountain, churros a More...
My wife, POTC, Churros and Cafe Orleans. - DSMonson_CM320.0 #521 9-2-11 10:08AMLike Reply

So I have seen some homemade grape soda pins but is there any stores in Disneyland that sells them?
Yes, there is an official Disney Pin Trading Grape Soda pin. Its just hard to find because as soon as the shipment comes in they go quickly :( So you just have to keep looking! I was fortunate that a MWer was at the parks when a shipment came in and he picked one up for me! - ekwhite463.3 #263 7-19-11 10:54PMLike Reply
I don't think they have any with a real safety pin if that's the kind of homemade your talking about. - SUUZinOC715.3 #140 7-19-11 10:56PMLike Reply
Thanks, ek. I am hoping to get 4 (one for each member of my family). Keep your fingers crossed for me. - bubbajbi164.2 #2099 7-19-11 10:58PMLike Reply
