read comments about getting soaked on grizzly river run... do ppl really wear ponchos for the ride? is it that wet? that's a ride I really wanna go on!
It's like russian roulette. You don't know which seats are the ones that get the most wet till your there. But you can get lucky and not get wet on the other seats. - goofball450.1 #273 8-28-11 5:31PMLike Reply
I've never come off that ride dry and yes there is potential to end up totally and completely soaked - Pixarprincess531.4 #214 8-28-11 5:32PMLike Reply
I got soaked. My hubby not so much. Other little ones were soaked as well. We went on the GRR to cool off. That was back in May, I can only imagine the need to cool off lately. - NurseDisney29.2 #4397 8-28-11 6:12PMLike Reply
seeking some advice... is it worth the cost to purchase the picnic meal or even make reservations at ariels grotto to see WoC? our time at Disney is limited and I don't want to spend hours in line to get a good spot. do you just bring a b More...
You don't sit, everyone stands to wait and during the show unless for some reason you physically can't stand. - KAA350.3 #409 8-27-11 11:17AMLike Reply
I think so, either way - picnic or dinner. You're going to eat anyway, might as well take off some of the stress of worrying about getting fastpasses - TinkPen428.3 #292 8-27-11 11:25AMLike Reply
with 2 boys, 10 and almost 6, I want the least stress and wait as possible. thanks for the input! - gecko1987104.2 #2979 8-27-11 1:31PMLike Reply
ao if we make reservations for ariels grotto, do we just sit and watch while we eat or how does it work? - gecko1987104.2 #2979 8-28-11 4:54PMLike Reply
41 more days before my family and I get to Disneyland! can't wait! hubby and I are surprising our boys... still haven't decided how we'll tell them... any suggestions?? btw, how's the usual temp day/night the first week of October?
thanks! how about ideas on how to best surprise my kids? they think we're saving to go next summer. but we leave in 37 days and step foot at Disneyland in 41! - gecko1987104.2 #2979 8-23-11 1:54AMLike Reply
It depends how old your kids are. When our girls were younger I made a homemade puzzle of the castle with "we're going to Disneyland today!" written on it and had them put it together. They thought we were joking. :) Last year we were in SoCal to visit family so on the way home we told them we were tired and stopping at a hotel, but really took them to DL. They were so excited. We got it on video. There are lots of ideas on YouTube too. - BaronessVonShush10.2 #6689 8-23-11 9:20AMLike Reply
thanks for the ideas. the puzzle sounds good cuz they like puzzles. my boys are 10 and 6. I'll check out YouTube too. - gecko1987104.2 #2979 8-23-11 9:41PMLike Reply
would like recommendations for the best character dining restaurant. goofys kitchen has been recommended by a lot of my friends here, but what do MWs have to say?
Critter Breakfast at Storytellers is my favorite and their breakfast buffet is exquisite :3 - SkellyMouse501.3 #235 8-13-11 10:41AMLike Reply
