What a great day so far! We were able to walk on Star Tours, Indy, HM, and Pirates. Now waiting for Matterhorn for the first time. Suggestions for a not too expensive lunch? TIA!
Plaza Inn has some amazing chicken. Enough for two people to share each plate! - minigirl1156411.7 #314 8-1-12 12:09PMLike(5) Reply
Came in from NY yesterday, checked into HoJo (love it) and now Disneyland today!!!! So excited. Now if it wasn't so hard to get an 18 year old up early and out....
Ahhhhh.....if they need to find you just tell them you are across the street at that big place and you can't miss it! 😜 - ohhhtoodles365.2 #379 8-1-12 8:31AMLike(2) Reply

Good evening! My son and I will be visiting DL next week from NY and was wondering for RSR, is it better to just get on the line right away and wait or try to get fast passes? Thanks in advance!
We were at the park this week. We got there around 7am. They let us in at 7:30. I went straight to the fast pass line (which was already to Carthay Circle). At 8am they then started giving out the fast passes. It took me half an hour to get up to the front but was happy to get passes for around 1:30pm and even scored surprise fast passes for Grizzly river. I know this is long but I hope it helps! - TheGrumpies288.0 #678 7-28-12 10:10PMLike(1) Reply
You will likely NOT get fastpasses to it if you are not there first thing in the morning. The line to get them is as bad as RSRs lines.. lol. But fp is the way to go. - TheBudd357.3 #395 7-28-12 9:54PMLike Reply
Thank you soo much!! It really helps alot since I have limited amount of days. I figured I'd have to be there first thing but wanted to know the best game plan. - tina94181.6 #26 7-29-12 5:56AMLike Reply
Yay one week from today my son and I will be coming to DL from NY! It's our second visit but I've learned so much from last year because of MW. Thanks everyone!!
Hi everyone! My son and I are coming to Disneyland for the second time in August. We're from NY and loved it so much we decided to visit again. I need to find a hotel outside of Disneyland and was wondering if I can't afford HoJo, is the More...
It will be 7/31-8/4 then we're going to check out San Diego. I know there is a discount with MW, I just figured I'd check as a backup. Thanks. - tina94181.6 #26 5-29-12 1:59PMLike(1) Reply
we stayed at the Portofino once. felt a little run down. i think it was some hotel, prior, but it just felt a lil old. walls were thin. the floor/ celing walls were thin. we could hear everyone and everyTHING. yes, everyTHING. - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1757.7 #43 5-29-12 2:06PM
what dates are you looking at? Did you, per chance, call up the HoJo in Anaheim directly? - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint1757.7 #43 5-29-12 1:51PMLike Reply
I stayed at the portofino about 2 years ago. For the price it was a good hotel. - solomouselover318.9 #519 5-29-12 4:11PMLike Reply
Also try Carousel Inn or Best Western Park Place Inn. Those 2 of my favorites and I usually get a good rate there. Have fun! - emnldsmom189.3 #1753 5-29-12 4:15PMLike Reply
Good morning! I found this wonderful app last year when my son and I were planning our first DL trip (we're on the East Coast so it's usually WDW for us). We we want to come back this summer and I would love to stay at HoJo - but if it do More...
I normally stay at the alamo inn and suites because its cheap and a ten Mon walk to the park. Average 50-60 a night. - nathanchu328.0 #480 3-13-12 10:31AMLike Reply
We're going to the Hojo for the first time in October for a family trip but it's not typically in our budget either. I've stayed at quite a few of the budget places and my favorite is the Super 8 on Katella. We usually pay around $50/night there. It's basic but the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and their continental breakfast (muffins, cereal, juice, milk, toast, donuts) saves us some time and money in the morning. It's about a 10 minute walk to the gates. - cynDOLEwhip744.1 #137 3-13-12 10:31AMLike Reply
Is that the next time you come back? - HanLostLeia 1092.5 #75 3-13-12 10:35AM
Possibly. I'm booked with clients through July. We'd like to make it down before my due date so we can get out of town before the baby comes and Cannon can have one last trip with just the three of us but it depends on when my last client gives birth. Hopefully we have enough time to make the trip. So maybe July or early August... - cynDOLEwhip 744.1 #137 3-13-12 10:40AM
