Hello MouseWait!! I haven't been on here in a while since my last disneyland trip forever ago, I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on Candy Cane Inn or Howard Johnson's and what's it like going to Disneyland in January? any tips w  More...
Howard Johnson is MW "official" hotel so if you call for in house reservations you will receive a discount. January tends to be ok after the first week of the month. - missmimi90   1381.3 #90 9-17-13 11:32AM Like(1)  Reply
Just make sure it's the HoJo Anaheim first when you call.  - KermitFan13  644.0 #256 9-17-13 11:39AM
We stayed at Candy Cane a while ago (probably almost 10 plus years). It was nice but could be out of date now. It is not that close though, so you woul want to use their shuttle. The HoJo looks great from pictures and has that water area for kids (plus you get the MW discount). You could also walk if needed but the Anaheim resort shuttle runs there.  - warchanted   125.6 #2918 9-17-13 11:47AM Like(1)  Reply

Has anyone got the new Disneyland app released on Disneyland's FB page? I absolutely love it!!!! it's like a little piece of disney in your pocket when you can't be at the parks :)

Could someone please explain to me how the fastpasses for Radiator Springs Racers work, with location, time and early entrances? are they usually gone before the park opens for everyone else? im so confused lol
This is what I understand, the fast pass distribution is in Bugs Land and doesnt open until 8am. The pass line is super long and usually runs out of passes by 9-10am. If you get to the park by rope drop..let them know you are wanting to line up for the fastpasses and the CM's will direct you to where you need to stand...I hope I got that all correct. When I went I just waited in the single rider line and the wait was about 40 minutes. - yellowtonka   241.4 #1324 7-22-12 3:43PM Like  Reply
FastPasses for Racers work the same way as the other passes... They are generally running out of them about an hour into the park opening. The pass machines are located at the entry to a bugs land - CaliCanuck   520.0 #339 7-22-12 3:48PM Like  Reply

Hey all! Has anyone stayed at the Park Vue Inn or Candy Cane Inn, any input would be appreciated! :)))
We've stayed at the Park Vue. Not my favorite, a little overpriced but very convenient being right across the street. We did end up with black sock bottoms from the carpet but to be fair, they said they were in the process of replacing the carpet. My vote is HoJo's if your staying off property. - minigirl1156   672.9 #244 7-8-12 6:21PM Like  Reply
We have stayed at the Candy Cane Inn many times. We love it! Good service, clean rooms, comfy beds, continental breakfast and their own shuttle. We may stay there again in Oct if there are rooms still available. - Diznimom   215.7 #1650 7-8-12 6:52PM Like  Reply
do you think it is far enough to take the shuttle, is the walk too long?  - FaithTrustandPixieDust   12.8 #7906 7-8-12 10:05PM Like  Reply
IMO it's *super* close, the shuttle is handy if you are too tired to walk back at the end of your day or if you have mini's and no stroller. - Linzee  858.8 #174 7-8-12 10:14PM

Good morning all! I have a quick question, has anyone been to disneyland in the beginning of January? When does holiday decor come down and any idea of crowds at this time? i'd appreciate some input, thanks! :)
Comes down the first weekend in Jan. And after Jan 2 the crowds are pretty light - Jimineycricket   197.8 #1891 6-19-12 10:07AM Like  Reply
