Have fun! Are you taking the Coast Starlight to the Pacific Coastliner? Just be careful checking your luggage, the Coast came in late on my trip two weeks ago and I didn't get to the Anaheim station until after it closed (came by shuttle rather than train) so I didn't get my luggage until the next day. I had requested a reader for my bday, after my research I decided on a Kindle Fire. I was gifted an iPad 2 (not the newest one) and downloaded the free Kindle app and couldn't be happier. If size/cost is an issue then the iPad probably wouldn't be a good choice. - Linzee

I know Disneyland is all halloween'd up, does DCA have any decorations up? On a side note only 34 days till Seattle and 37 days till I'm walking into Disneyland!! 5 day park hoppers and the Halloween party on oct 29!! Woohoo!!
There are a few things up like duffs meet-n-greet (became a pumpkin patch). Dog lady's Dog has a Halloween dress on. The News paper in Buena vista Street has an article on the front that calles Halloween a "Emerging Holiday" of Halloween. There is also the Frankenweenie exhibit as well.=) - Tinkerstar

Keep your head up. My job has been stressfulful too. Someone left my job & one went on vacation & there is just three of us. So to make a long story even longer lol what I am trying to say is it seems to allways get tougher before it becomes better much better. Before and during construction of Disneyland in 1954 - 1955, the name of the castle fluctuated. Sometimes called the Fantasy Castle, Fantasyland Castle, Walt even referred to it as Snow White's Castle once.
However, with the opening of Disneyland and the premiere of "Sleeping Beauty" just a few years away, plus the built-in publicity machine of a weekly television series, Walt saw a marketing opportunity to build buzz for a movie not yet released. Shortly after the park opened, Walt overheard some guests asking to go up inside the castle (which was never intended to house and attraction). Walt ordered the creation of the Sleeping Beauty walkthrough, even before the release of the film (and the walkthrough attraction is being rebuilt for the 50th anniversary release of the film this year). - Missshelly
