I am a blogger, www.foodtrampdiaries.com and also a lover of all things DISNEY. I am from Michigan but transplanted to Arizona for the last 6 years. I've been to Disneyworld lots growing up but there's something more quaint and special about Disneyland

I need some tips for getting thru DLR and DCA during the first official week of Spring Break March 18-24 without completely going crazy. I can only imagine the lines will be nuts. We are going to do that Tuesday thru Friday. Any helpful t  More...
Get there earlier and grab Fastpasses when you can. Check out the stage shows when the parks are crowded. Don't forget the small shows that pop up periodically (Dapper Dans, Green Army Men, Five & Dime, etc) - ScooterMike  1959.8 #35 1-29-13 10:36PM Like(1)  Reply
I think you're actually on the early end of spring break, so that may work in your favor. The weeks before and after Easter tend to be the busiest. It will still be busy, though, so make good use of Fastpass and take advantage of any early entry options you may have. Have fun!!! - PrincessKristin  774.5 #126 1-29-13 10:42PM Like(1)  Reply

Frequent visitors...we are finally able to come back to DLR in March. However, we have to go during busy spring break time due to my University schedule. Which would be less crowded... Tue-Fri or Wed-Sat?? I assume the former...
I would say Tues-Fri. Not entirely sure though. We don't go as often as we'd like. I would guess avoiding the weekends is the way to go. Hopefully someone can give you a better answer! Have fun planning! - melissa_ficent  317.9 #531 12-9-12 3:46PM Like  Reply

Fast passes are a gamble to what section you will get. Where as the dining has it's own spot. In my opinion, I think the other viewing areas are better than the dining viewing area. But if you have little ones, I would stay all the way to the back and stand behind the planters towards TLM building. Just wanted to share something I totally forgot about. Took my 4 1/2 yr old & 3 1/2 year old to see Lion King on Saturday morning. I haven't seen it in years and I honestly forgot about some of the adult themes in this movie. Murder, reve  More...
I am mostly referring to the part of the stampede where Mufasa dies. My daughter was just devestated. - DisneyLuva4Life  9.0 #7117 9-19-11 12:22AM Like  Reply
Not gonna lie, I'm 18, I saw it in theaters today, and I still cried when Mufasa died - dlmickeymouseCM  2350.4 #27 9-19-11 12:33AM Like  Reply
My daughter is 5 you can't hide the world from them 100% .Its better to see it in a movie then in real life like i did. - Vet323tech  391.7 #345 9-21-11 6:14AM Like  Reply

My kids are asking to meet Phineas & Ferb on our trip in Nov..thus far we haven't found them. Are they ever out & about at DCA?
They have their own show now in DCA. A "Dance Party.". Usually runs twice a day in Paradise Pier, in front of The Little Mermaid buildong. - madmarchhare  221.2 #1343 8-31-11 10:39PM Like  Reply
You are one MW'er that's full of Disney wisdom! My whole family will be so happy. We love Phineas & Ferb :-) - DisneyLuva4Life  9.0 #7117 8-31-11 11:17PM Like  Reply
I just realized I answered like 3 of your questions. I'm not stalking you, I swear. - madmarchhare  221.2 #1343 9-1-11 1:53AM Like  Reply
Also, I did not mean to write "Buildong" in the post above. "Building" is what I was shooting for. The other way doesn't sound very Disney appropriate. Wow. I'm going to bed now! - madmarchhare  221.2 #1343 9-1-11 1:55AM Like  Reply

Has anyone stayed at the Anaheim Doubletree? I'm not worried about the resort, just concerned about where it is on the ART route & if there is adequate room on the bus when it comes.
If this is the doubletree by the convention center, there is an ART stop directly across the street in front of the Travelodge. Busses are almost never full. It is like $4 now, though, so plan for that. You'll be somewhat close to the Toy Story lot, so you coukd walk there and catch the free busses. That's what we did. Hope this helps! - madmarchhare  221.2 #1343 8-31-11 10:07PM Like  Reply
Anyone, anyone? Bueller? - DisneyLuva4Life  9.0 #7117 8-31-11 10:07PM Like  Reply
Thanks guys! At first I coukd not see your post, madmarchhare. We have to stay at the DT as we have a discounted nonrefundable room rate. Being a fam of 5 now we needed a larger room. Hope it works, 78 days to go! Our first Holiday/Christmas DL experience :-) - DisneyLuva4Life  9.0 #7117 8-31-11 10:23PM Like  Reply
No problem. We've stayed basically everywhere around here over the last 20 years or so. Some of these little hotels are horror stories. You have to be careful! Doubletree was nice, though! - madmarchhare  221.2 #1343 8-31-11 10:28PM Like  Reply

Just wanted to say that MW is the last thing I look at every night before I go to bed. U all put huge smiles on my face! 79 more days till we are back, & with our new addition. Can you hold a 6mo old on your lap for some rides?
Yes, I have seen moms hold young babies on their laps like on peter pan, etc... And i noticed the babies have to be facing forward. - ERICKA  491.4 #244 8-29-11 11:48PM Like  Reply
